No more Wishes?

We could only be so lucky.

Wishes is close to ten years old.
Fantasmic is more than ten years old.
And Illuminations is around the same?

Could use something new. (And I don't mean bring back a 30+ year old light parade.)

There is no truth to this rumor. I think we will have Wishes for at least another 2 years. Look at how long we had Fantasy in the Sky. BTW, Wishes is 8 years old, not 10.:)

I know it can't go on forever, and I know there are many who wish it would go away, but I got engaged immediately after Wishes ended "Here, (presents ring) your wish came true!"

When it all gets quiet, and those two wishing stars cross over the castle, and I hear him whisper in my ear "Make a wish". . . *sigh*

Pure Disney magic.

There is a big age gap between IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth to Wishes. Wishes came out in October 8th 2003 and IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth came out in October 1st, 1999. That means Wishes came out 4 years later than IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth.

Fanasmic is now going to be 13 years old on October 15th. That means Fanasmic is a week away from coming out 5 years older than Wishes.

I got teary eyed just reading that...just like I do whenever I watch Wishes!

As much as I love Wishes, I know that I will love whatever Disney replaces it with when the time comes.

Wishes isn't going anywhere. It is the youngest show out of the 3 parks by far despite being 8 years old.

Fantasmic! and IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth first came out before the end of the 20th century with Fantasmic! being almost a year older than IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth is. Those two night time shows are the two more likely to get replaced than Wishes due to age.

Fantasy in the sky was alot older! And they are classic because they are old (which they arent)
There are still people who have never seen these! And I would say wait to have all new things for the 50th anniversary! Just saying

I would hope it's true but I doubt it. Wishes is nice and all and was great the year it premiered but I guess since seeing DL's Magical I got spoiled and wishes will never be the same. If they were to get rid of it, I'd be happy. I enjoy the show even though I haven't staged up to watch it in years, but still. Something new can't hurt.

I love Wishes, but I've had enough of it. Once you've seen in a dozen or so times, it gets old. And, I know I'll get flamed for this, but if you ever watch the show from the Poly or GF without music, the fireworks can't even compete with Illuminations.

Wishes isn't going anywhere. It still tests off the charts with guests. The only ones who wouldn't mind a change are those of us who see it more than once a year. For most other people who enjoy fireworks - its in the itinerary. Something I don't think Fantasy In the Sky ever was...

However, I do wish we would see more seasonal fireworks shows like Summer Nightastic. It does break it up. And it would actually be an easy way to extend the life of Wishes even more.
