I don't get why anyone even felt like they were owed an explanation.
I'm a paying member to this site, and while I must admit I was curious about the situation, I did not feel like Steve owed me any kind of explanation.:shrug:

I think it was kind of him to give one, but he sure did not owe any of us one, like some of the posters on here have insinuated.
It is, afterall, his site, and if he (or any of the mods) deletes a post or thread, I just assume that he or they had a reason for doing so.

It really is not any of my business.

So if I feel that way as a paying member, I just do not get why non-paying members feel like they are somehow entitled to explanations about things like this.:shrug:

LOL well I gues you can call it that. There is the data centre where all the hardware is kept, and there is my house where I do most of the work on the site from.

I won't say I am disappointed...but I was kind of expecting flags and guard towers and barbed wire etc.
I mean, really, you made it sound so grand and clandestine;
