No more Power Rangers at the Studios?

/I think they were much more comforting to see compared to High School Musical...

Anyways, it had become way too americanized for my tastes. Probably when Blue ranger became Red State Ford Drivin' Pickup Bush Pamela Ranger Budweiser Jr.

Good. Disney had no clue what to do with the franchise. If they were smart they would have released the old-school series on Dvd for all the nostalgic fans like myself. This is great news actually.

Kinda sorry to see them go... but if they replace the characters in DHS with better characters... then... wont really mind :p It is only replacing them with nothing that I would dislike about this.

This doesn't bother me at all. The Power Rangers haven't done anything worth noticing in recent memory and I pretty much knew with the purchase of Marvel, the Rangers would have suffered miserably. Yet at first I thought that Disney could of Marvelized the Power Rangers by having Marvel produce Power Ranger comics to at least help the franchise. Heck, I wouldn't have mind seeing a Power Ranger crossover featuring the X-Men or other Marvel greats then again Marvel is on a league of it's own and I'm glad they will be leaving the studios.

This isn't the first time either folks, when the studios first opened the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were a hit amongst guests, same here. Yet I'm looking forward to some real Superhero action to hit the Studios, bring in some Marvel! :D

I can confirm that. They are definitely leaving Studios starting in August.

Very doubtful. The Henson family doesn't want the muppets as walk-a-round characters for meet n greets.

How the...

Disney owns the rights to the Muppets. Who gives a flying fig what the Henson family wants, wishes, or hopes for? I've seen meet and greets with the characters before the purchase, after (lots more afterwards), and I know there were plenty when Disney was still in the purchasing discussions back in the 90's.

Or am I horribly wrong here? Lee? Martin?

"The Power Rangers don’t fit with the Disney brand or with our long-term programming strategy," a company spokesman said in a statement.

Well if they claim it doesn't fit their brand it would be a tad hypocritical for them to buy it in the first place.
First of all, they didn't just buy the Power rangers. It was Fox Family Worldwide and the Power Rangers came with it. Second, The quote says it doesn't fit their long term programming strategy. Maybe when they bought i, it did fit in wit their strategy. A lot of things can change in a 9-10 year span.

Okay, to those of you bashing every Power Rangers incarnation since the original, have you ever seen RPM? It's pretty fantastic... imho. But I'm not the only one who thinks so. I mean, it's post-apocalyptic! Awesome!

I'm a little sad, but I'll get over it. It was an awkward fit.
