No more cobblestone in France Pavilion?

As European governments have discovered over time, cobblestones are dangerous. Disgruntled citizens often pull them up and use them as weapons against the local police when they're sent in to quell mass disturbances.

Given that the employees in the pavilion are French natives, and in consideration of the current climate in France, WDW management opted for the safer (and considerably less expensive) slab concrete approach.

Maybe European People wouldnt pull them out of streets if they could own...ah lets stay on topic. I honestly dont mind it granted (pavers can be done to be pretty flush) even if not old looking.

There seems to be a lot of stamped concrete "banding" being poured. It seems the remaining old stamped cobblestone has been sawcut for removal but only a few portions of that have been removed and repoured with the tan/brown concrete? It's a real hodge podge right now, curious to see the finished product.
