Oh.

For starters, the dance routine should start as soon as they walk out - why are they wandering aimlessly in the beginning. Characters need more energy, choreography isn't very sharp or coordinated. Bigger arm movements! Also, it's a big stage - they need a few more characters up there.

And why are Mary and Bert just standing around waving?

Just for comparison's sake, here is DL's alternate finale..

Wow the pyro there is much better too

The thing I don't understand about the alternate finale is that half of the characters that appear on the boat don't come out on the island...there's plenty of space for them all. Also in this video Minnie seems to need a little help on her choreography....

If you re-watch the WDW video you'll notice the face characters are escorting the fur characters to their spots on the stage. Hence the "aimless wandering." At the end they escort them back. That probably has something to do with the number of characters on stage.

The streamers weren't together in DHS' version. The choreography was a little off, like you stated, and some streamers were going in the opposit way. Couldn't really notice that in DL's.

Well why wouldn't that be a problem for Disneyland??? They have fur characters walking out not escorted. I think they can probably get to their spots without the face characters helping.

Wow. I thought DL's island finale was lame. It's practically Broadway in comparison.

The Sorcerer Mickey mist screen segment pyro was cut after a shell landed in the bushes in House 1 and caused a small fire a few years back.
So, you're telling me that they cut an entire segment of pyro, necessary to the enjoyment of the show, because just once, they had some extra wind that caused one shell to land out of place and cause a fire?!

With that logic, all of Wishes would have been cancelled ages ago. This is quite UNACCEPTABLE.

That's probably the most uninspiring thing I've ever seen. Sheesh. Disneyland for the win...again

Yeah, that was painful to watch. The DHS "alternate" finale' in that video was so bad compared to Disneyland's alternate version that it's suspicious.

I wonder if the alternate version that took place that night at DHS was at the last second and they couldn't get everyone out on stage, and the performers that did go out there were so frazzled and mortified that they couldn't pull it together in time and so just phoned it in?

Either that, or someone spiked the water cooler in the DHS Cast Member break room with Nyquil before the show that night. Zzzzz....

Ditto. I had no idea the sorcerer Mickey pyro segment had been cut. What a bummer...

New alternate ending. All of the characters come out at the end and, together sing "It's a wonderful day for pie!":D

Not the live action Sorcerer Mickey pyro segment at the end but at the very beginning when the water screens first come on. A few shells used to go off in sync with the fireworks on the screen. However they have been gone for a VERY long time.

Gotcha. Truth be told, I actually didn't know that that there supposed to be pyro effects during that first water screen segment until I saw the Disneyland version which still has the effects.

And Vivian (the dragon) is always acting up, she has a tendency to be temperamental.

Well, we all know what that means...
