No dining reservations

I may get bashed for this and I swear I am not bashing the OP but I just can't understand children dictating the whole trip. I kept mine rested and hydrated with no high sugar treats. They never dictated, by their moods, what we did or didn't do. If they tried it all it took was "the look" and the straightened up quickly. Just my thoughts. Not throwing any shade because I know we all parent differently and each child is different.
Well I see both sides of this.... yes, as a parent you lifestyle has to change it is no longer just about you.... If your kid can act well in restaurants, they should be allowed to go....If they are a nightmare, yes their mood should dictate where you eat.

Going in September, we go every year usually it's not too crowded. My kids are young and labile, lunch and dinner can be a challenge depending on their moods, we've previously brought our own food and ate at quick service. I would like to have sit down dinners but can't do it if they are cranky and I don't want to make reservations and lose money. So if we are having a good day I just need some suggestions to keep in mind they

I would recommend making any character dining reservations. Although not impossible, those tend not to be ones you can just walk up to. I have walked up several times to The Plaza and Tony's. Also, Grand Floridan Cafe (at the GF, not in the park) is a hidden gem and i have walked up several times there. I have more difficulty at Epcot for walking up. The restaurants I dont care for are usually the ones with availability For walk ups.

My family has had luck with day-before reservations at 50s Prime Time. As others have said, your best bet would probably be resort area non-character dining.
