No Boys Allowed! Disney Bachelorette Trip..Suggestions?

Hi Everyone! I'm getting married next April (yay!) and although we can't get married at Disney, my mom and bridesmaids suggested we take a long weekend trip to Disney for a girls only trip. Of course, being the WDW junkie I am, I am thrilled with the suggestion! I've got my bride ears ready to go! :animwink:

Here's where I need some help...there will be 7 of us, and we will likely be going from Feb. 13-16, 2010. (5 of us are teachers, and that is when our mid-winter break falls...I know it isn't ideal with it being a peak time, but we'll take what we can get!) I've planned trips for a few people, but never a larger group like this. We're going to have 4 day tickets, but not park hopper; one day in each park, and check out Downtown Disney on the same day we are at Animal Kingdom.

*For lodging, is our best bet to get 2 adjoining rooms at a value resort? Or is there a suite that would be better suited/comparable in price?

*We are looking to keep costs down, but we do want to have 2 sit-down dinners for the 4 days that we are there...any fun suggestions? We're not too big into character meals....I was thinking Ohana would be really fun, but one of our girls is a vegitarian...are there veggie options at Ohana? (We've never eaten there with a vegitarian before, so I have no clue...) We'd also like to not eat sit down in Epcot...(rather snack around the world!)

*Are there any special things we could do to celebrate that I might be able to suggest to my MoH that aren't too expensive? (She hasn't been down to FL, but is looking for some fun suggestions of things to do/put together for us.) I'm sure there will be some surprises I don't know about, but she's letting me help with a few tips ;) I was initially thinking about spa treatments, but they look really expensive...

*Anything I might be missing?

Thanks for any suggestions!

You might want to reconsider the park hopper option due to the crowd sizes that week, it may give you more variety if one of the parks is too, too crowded. You could go to a park in the morning that had EMH the night before so it should be less crowded and then hop to another park for evening EMH; just a thought.
Having enjoyed both the Spirit of Aloha show and O'hana dinner; go with O'Hana. We enjoyed the meal better at O'hana. There is a bit of entertainment and the the service is top notch! The Liberty Tree Tavern also has a nice meal and a vegetarian option. A lady at the adjoining table was a vegetarian and it did not appear that she left the table hungry at all.
Love the prince hunt idea. I believe Prince Charming appears at dinner time at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian resort, as well as Cinderella, Fairy Godmother, and a couple of mice. Definately check with your CMs to see if they can help you out on this one. You should also check out Cap't Jack, every girls needs a bit of pirate in her life:ROFLOL:Have a wonderful trip and congratulations.

What a fun idea! I'm so jealous! I would have have loved to do this!! My BM's and MOH would have hated it - they think i'm Disney Crazed! ha ha I am! :ROFLOL:

Some ideas:

Spa treatments at one of the resort spas.
Bibbity Bobbity Boo Princess Makeover - no age limit! Might be fun more "Disney" alterative to a spa treatment.
Boardwalk for a night of fun after Le Cellier for a yummy dinner!
Rose and Crown is another great option!
Epcot at night - take advantage of EMH hours if they are available while you are there and drink around the world.
1900 Park Fare - a fun character experience at the GF. I know you said that you didn't want to do a lot of character experiences but this one is with the step sisters and step mom and prince and cinderella - they would be a good time to see a bachlorette!
Hmmm...something with Chip and Dale??? :lookaroun hee hee

Have a great time!!

You know, I hadn't taken into consideration that weekend is liable to be quite busy...the park hopper might be worth the extra $. We'll definitely have to look into that.

I hadn't realized that there is no age limit! I could see that being a LOT of fun...:D

Maybe one of the Kingdom Konsultant folks can chip in here, but I think if you can get one more person to join you, you'd qualify for a Grand Gathering group...been a few years since we did that but you were able to get a grand gathering activity included (we did fireworks cruise).
