No BOG ADR :( now what?

So, like the majority of folks I was unable to secure a BOG ADR for our xmas vacation. To help heal the wounds [and no I have not given up entirely, just trying to cope as I sadly redial the dining line again and again] - what would you all suggest we do to make up for this 'loss'? Pirate cruise, luau? We'll be there 12/16-12/22.

I wish you could get in and don't know what your personal situation is, but 30 days later you'd literally have the "world" to yourself. Thats when I go and I am rarely disappointed...except when the CSR closes the main pool and fails to notify you.

I would say keep checking the web site. You never know when someone may drop.

People always drop....keep checking and good luck! :)

What about 1900 Park Fare? They do a GREAT dinner and over the holidays the Grand Floridian is spectacular! I actually had a reservation there until they moved up the BOG date for reservations. Luckily we got our BOG reservation but had we not...1900 Park Fare is where we would be eating! Good luck.

Look on line as well. Its far less time consuming, especially if you work at a desk and can just keep it up and refresh. I was able to not only get reservations this way, but also the room at a resort I wanted. I just kept checking several times a day. Don't give up. And there is always next time. :) As for the luau - spirit of aloha - it gets very poor reviews - so save your money there. Do you have tixs to MVMCP? That would be a good way to make up for it. :)

That's a good idea, I'm in front of a computer all day with 2 screens so should be fairly easy to keep checking and get some work done :) Thanks!

I was a few hours too late. It's disappointing to tell the truth but it's not a deal breaker. We can always have a quick lunch there. My remedy will always be the Candlelight event. That's one of the main reason we go there this December.

But trust me once you're there, the christmas and holiday music will cheer you up. BOG will not bog you down. I promise!

I'm wondering if lunch is going to be a zoo given the amount of interest in ADR's. Like are people going to line up before lunch opens?? I hope Disney has a plan for this if it occurs.

Thanks for all the input, I kept the internet up all day at work today, but no joy yet.

Lunch is worth giving it a shot. If you cant get into dinner thats your only option if you really want to try it. You might be pleasantly surprised.
