No bells on the forum home page this holiday season?

I think something happened overnight. tried the bells yesterday and all was fine,tried them just now and ispite my volume being on i'm not hearing anything from them

I also noticed on my computer that the bells don't work on Firefox; so I've been using Chrome for this site, so that I can enjoy the bells!!

I appreciate the thought, but more than anything I'm not a fan of extra "things".
