Couple of observations:
They seem to have gone with an edgier overall line up. No Chris Tomlin, Casting Crowns, or Third Day this year, which are all very mainstream, and appeared last year. Will they all be at Rock the Universe?

Saturday has fewer performers listed. Perhaps that night is still being filled?

I personally wish bands like Showbread would be there. However, they are WAY too edgy, and most likely way too obscure. Lol.

What saddens me is that Disney still does events and promotions that encourage unsupervised kids to run around. Pop Warner, GradNights, or Night of Joy, Disney just asks for a rough time every year.

Based on my 2 visists the average age of a NoJ guest is above 18.

BWAHAHA! I went to dinner at Downtown Disney Anaheim last week and saw on the marquee that "STRYPER" would be performing that night at House of Blues. The name sounded familiar, and then I vaguely remembered them being a late 80's/early 90's Christian hard rock hair band, and the people I met for dinner were just as murky but thought that may be right. But the whole concept just seemed too bizarre to be true, even for 1989.

And then this thread came along! HA! Nice to see my memory banks were right. And yet how terrifying that I actually knew who they were.

One of the many reasons why Night of Joy weekend is one of my favorites for all the wrong reasons.
