Good Morning from The Real Mad Sniffer.( This colds getting worse ) Anyway, before I go back to my cosy bed with my electric blanket on.How important is your resort bed at Disney, and how would you rate the ones you've slept in,whilst staying on site.Having only stayed at three mods,we've had no complaints, however last year at PORS with the new Queen beds, they were great. Each night my head hit that pillow,I was out like a light. And felt great first thing in the morning.I do think the queen bed makes a difference ( Iam 6ft ) and found it slightly more spacious than the double.( what is the difference again ) But what were your findings.?

Hatter I hope you feel better, perhaps a wee dram or two, will assist in your recovery. As to beds my dear wife and I have a king size at home so a comforable and queen size are a must at WDW. Even with a queen my wife and I bump into each other all night and I find myself sleeping with one foot on the floor by morning.
Cheers. Will have a wee hot toddy tonight, but I love your response to my question." My wife and I bump into each other all night." ;) Of course you do.We also have a king size at home, but it's the size of your American Queen. As ever, things the the good ole USA are bigger than back home.

Beds, where do i start. First of all, we bring our own pillows, that is the most important part to a good nights sleep for us. Best bed was probably at GF, big comfy queen. We had a king at POP, but cant remember if it was good or not because it was some time ago. The worst bed ever was at POFQ about four years ago. They were so so small we had to sleep in separate beds! But they have upgraded them since then, maybe because I complained on here so much. As long as it is clean and of a queen size at least, we are happy, because we are so tired by the end of the day it is just a place to crash, plus a few cocktails help as well.;)

I will never forget the comfort difference on our trip a few years back when we stayed 7 nights in the FW Cabins and then moved over to WL for 3 nights. Everything was a huge upgrade at WL, mattresses, linens and pillows. I was starting to get cranky in FW from not being well rested.
I should add that after a couple days in WDW I sleep like a baby! And then my first night back home is the usually the craziest sleep ever. We usually stay at BLT on the lake so I keep thinking I hear that water pageant music in my sleep after being used to hearing it every night. LOL

Our first onsite stay was WL in 2010 and I was miserable. The beds were a tad hard for my tastes and the linens were scratchy. We stayed at the Contemporary in 2011 and it was like sleeping on a cloud. OMG sooooo comfy! Fast fwd to 2012 when we stayed at Yacht Club...I was comfy..found it comparable to the Contemporary's bedding; however DD4 had a serious problem. I can't say for certain that it was something in the bed, but it's the only place she had issues. It would be a few hours after bed time and she'd suddenly be covered in hives and suffering from tummy issues. Considering allergy meds helped stop it and staved it off on all but the 2 nights where we didn't use the meds- I can only guess it was something in the bed. I don't think they have feather pillows, so I'm guessing it might be a more harsh detergent or cleaning product possibly sprayed on the bed that was irritating her.

Beyond that, DH and I sleep in a king sized bed at home, so even a queen is cramped. We usually do OK as long as we are super tired from our days.

I have to have my space when sleeping so we have a king bed at home and both gladly take a queen to ourselves for maximum rest and comfort. At least it gets me a few feet further from the snoring! I've never had a problem with any WDW beds but did notice how nice the new mattresses were the last time we stayed at POR.
