Cool. Very impressive Nick. I just finished this book a couple of weeks ago-

"Ultramarathon Man: Confessions of an All-Night Runner" by Dean Karnazes

It was fun and incredibly impressive. Do you sleep? The author of this book goes out and runs for hours and hours every night.

I wonder the city he lives in. I know I couldnt run ion my neighborhood after about 11 or so. Not that it is unsafe, but nothing good happens after midnight. :D

LOL, when my son started middle school last year, the principal suggested that the parents not to let their kids hang out at the deli around the corner because "nothing good happens at the deli." LOL.

So Nick, how did you decide on the route for your 50-miler solo? Did you track it out in a car to confirm the distance, or are you just going to use your Garmin to make sure you hit the right number that day?

I respect everything he has done in terms of his ultras, but I'm just not a fan of the publicity stunts and self-promotion. I really enjoy Scott Jurek, Sebastien Chaigneau, Marshal Ulrich, Jeff Roes, etc... as far as ultra guys go.

I have read Born to Run and Running On Empty, which are WONDERFUL. Get them today.

Tracked it on mapmyrun, but I'll be taking my 301 with me. As soon as I hit 25 miles, I'm turning around and not stopping until my 301 reads 50.10 miles.

Wife is meeting me at 15 miles (Long Branch) to check on me and at 25 miles (Sandy Hook) to refill my water and lube my legs with Tiger Balm.

I have the best wife :D
