All of the Florida tours have fallen into pathetic nothingness. I feel embarrassed for Disney's backlot tour. Haven't been the universal in over a decade.

I miss all those Nick game shows...Legends of the hidden temple was the best. I also loved Double Dare and What Would You Do? I never really liked GUTS because I couldn't understand what the Australian lady was saying. Although I do remember her talking about bouys in the wave pool. The Double Dare 2000 was bad. I don't know what it was about it.

On a side note, the show Family challenge was awesome. It was on the Family Channel (ABC Family now) and it was awesome. I vaguely remember it but I watched it all the time with my sister and there was a slide and you had to say family challllllllllleeeeeeeenge as long as you can but if you stop before someone else, you have to slide down into something. Good memmories.

also... growing up in Orlando, I know too many people that were either on these shows or contestants... one of the cast members from Gullah Gullah Island went to Middle and High School (not all years... but several of them)with me, my 7th grade science teacher was on several Nickelodeon specials, and my old next door neighbor has been a contestant on at least 3 different Nickelodeon Game Shows....

what else.. Welcome Freshmen was filmed at one of the High Schools I attended... most of the outdoor scenes were shot in Dr. Phillips High School, across the street from Universal Studios

Nick Arcade was my favorite. With Mikey, and you had to move him left right, up or down. I also liked Get the Picture. I remember on one episode, the girl, when asked what she wanted to be when she grows up, said a scientist and that she wanted to work at Epcot, to which the host replied "Oh, the other place"...

Clarissa was also really good with Ferguson and Sam and her pet Alligator. The first seasons all All That were the best that show ever was, or ever will be. The cast was a classic.

I also loved SNICK, With Clarissa, Ren & Stimpy, (I forget the other one) and, if you could make it 'til 9:30, ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK. Nickelodeon was great in the golden days, but now, not one show appeals to me on that channel, with the exception of Spongebob.

I know they air Pete and Pete on Noggin, so that's cool... but I agree with Patrick. Nickelodeon had some great shows back say.. 6-10 years ago. Now the only good thing they have going for them in Spongebob, which is a spark of creativity... shame that is still falls on the one HUGE shortcoming I've seen from nickelodeon lately.... insulting their audiences intelligence. Kids aren't dumb... they know that if they only like 1 show on Nickelodeon, they'll watch it and flip over to Cartoon Network or the Disney Channel...

Nickelodeon Studios is far older than the rest of Universal Orlando. Anyway, before Universal Studios was built there, the grand prize for shows like Double Dare and such were for Disneyworld.

Oh and another thing. Did anyone see MXC Almost Live of Spike TV the other day? It was filmed in front of Nickelodeon Studios but Nickelodeon was blurred out in every shot.

Does the end of filming at Nick studios have anything to do with Viacom (paramount) buy them a few year back (and have facilities in NY/LA)

*in Australian accent*
"Now during their climb, players must activate 8 targets located on their side of the crag."

All I wanted to do when younger was go to Nick Studios, be on What Would You Do with my family, and go to the pie wash and later get slimed.

Remember the constant news flashes on tv about slime production being at dangerous levels and it would cause the Earth to explode. As a kid, I remember being very, very scared. Luckily, they built the slime geyser to alleviate the dangers of slime production. And you wouldn't even get splattered when you visited it--that was a real bummer!!
