We are coming back to WDW in April 2010 (staying at the Dolphin) for our honeymoon and were hoping you guys might have some ideas of anything we should do or try on this special occasion?

Ideas on restaurants, tours, special requests than can be made / catered for?

Thanks ! :)

Plenty of ideas but my main advice, don't try and change the holiday - you're going to WDW because you love it and you should keep doing the things you love.

My other big bit of advice is to do the honeymoon registry. Even if you only put money on the card yourself it's worth it. All the CM's really look after you when they see that Just Married gift card!

However, things we looked at / did:
Great meals (Cali Grill, V&A, Coral Reef etc. Make sure they know it's your honeymoon)
Segway Tours round EPCOT
Boat rentals
Surfing lessons!!!
Keys to the Kingdom Tour
AKL Safari (if your lucky enough to be concierge at AKL that is)
IllumiNations cruise

p.s. Congratulations!!!!

I forgot to say that you can make special requests but there are no guarentees. That said, we did get the rooms we wanted at AKL and WL (castle view!)

Other things we got included:
free ice-cream
free deserts
free champagne glasses (from CRT)
free drinks
special 'behind doors' meeting with Donald and Daisy!

The best part is all the messages of congratulatiosn you get from CM's as you go round the park.

Congrats! Make sure on your resort and dining reservations that you mention you'll be on your honeymoon. You could also get those Just Married buttons and wear the wedding Mickey and Minnie ears to get more congratulations and maybe some "extra" stuff!

Things that I'd recommend would be a couples massage, Illuminations or Wishes fireworks cruise, carriage ride in POR or FW, Laua dinner show, La Nouba (awesome!), mini golf, rent one of those bikes and ride around Boardwalk, parasailing, rent a pontoon boat yourself and pack a picnic (we do this every trip!), that new tethered hot air balloon ride at DTD.....hope that gives you some ideas! Have fun!

Congrats!

I'd definately recommed the Wishes cruise over the illuminations cruise. Also spend an evening at Victoria and Alberts, it's very romantic and has wonderful food. Treat your wife to a massage. Also having dinner at California Grill around Wishes is a great thing to do as well.

Congratulations!! We honeymooned at WDW as well:

Things we enjoyed/have done/ friends did for honeymoon

Carriage rides
V&A- loved this place. Recommend it highly for a once and a lifetime thing.
Cinderella's Royal Table....every girl has wanted to be a princess...
Dif recommend renting a boat or skiing or something. It was a lot of fun.
Watch Wishes in the middle of Main St.

And I agree dif. Make sure they know you are on your honeymoon! It is so worth it...

Have a fabulous time and congrats once again.

Boat rentals at one of the Magic Kingdom resorts is a must I think. My wife and I love to do that and can be romantic, especially viewing the MK entrance. Also think about a carriage ride at Fort Wilderness.

Firstly, welcome to boards and congratulations. Not certain if you may be considering making reservations @ any character meals but if you do be sure to mention to the CM manager on duty that it's your honeymoon and see if s/he would be willing to have all the characters take a group picture with you two. This is RARELY done (I've been told) but during one of our meals @ Crystal Palace with Pooh & Friends I took a chance and asked to see if could be done since my new wife is a huge Pooh fan. Luckily for us they were indeed willing to do it and it's been one of her most favorite memories of our honeymoon down there..........but just one of the most favorite. :lookaroun

I vote for a wishes or ilummination cruise!! Or, how about a late dinner at California Grill and watch Wishes from the observation deck after. Very romantic!

I'm sure some of this has been said, but I'll list a couple of extra things we plan on doing to make our honeymoon special:

- Cirque de Soleil La Nouba
- Couples Massage at Grand Floridian or Saratoga Springs
- Mini Golf (it seems cheesy but we have a free round with our Magic Your Way Pass so why not!)
- Having a late night dinner or dessert at Raglan Road to watch the dancer! (9pm)
