Early indications suggest Roethlisberger will be out a few weeks again with a mid-foot sprain. It appears he avoided a Lisfranc injury, but more clarity should be provided Monday as Ben is scheduled to undergo a MRI.

Meanwhile, I'm either riding with Derek Carr in fantasy or trying to figure something else out with Ben.

And the Broncos lose for the first time this season. Such a strange league. Truly unpredictable.

How I feel after picking GB to be angry enough after their beatdown last week to stomp Carolina...

Oh, what a week can do in fantasy football. After this week I'll be tied for first place in my division with a 5-4 record. There are five 5-4 teams in our league, one 7-2, one 3-6, and one 1-8. The 3-6 team now has two wins in a row, and I face him next week.

This week I put up my highest point total of the season with 153 point, which surprisingly came when half my team was on a bye. Kind of bitter I traded away DeAngelo Williams, but I got DeAndre Hopkins in return, and I have a healthy stash of RBs already.

Next week I have some tough matchups all around, especially with Roethlisberger out again, but I'm confident I can win.

Last week I was 3rd in waiver priority. This week I am 7th. Weird how I can go from the 3rd worst record to the 2nd best record in just one week. It also helps that I'm leading my league in points scored with 1024 points. The next closest has 990.

I have the most points scored against me in my league. So my points scored never matters.

I'm tied for 4th in points against. But I'm also the best in my league at point differential, with +100. Unfortunately all of my highest scoring games seem to come against the worst performances by my opponents.

Fan Duel and Draft Kings have been deemed as illegal gambling by the New York attorney general by state law, and has ordered the two sites to stop taking bets in New York.

Now if only the other 49 states could do the same, we could end the constant advertising.

the crazy thing is.. the articles say the sites have only spent 100 million on advertising. Considering the constant radio ads AND TV ads AND tie-ins... they seem to be getting the most bang for their buck I've ever seen. Movies spend more and only advertise for a few weeks..

3/4 of those ads are actually for an Edward Norton movie called Draft Kings. Total coincidence.

Chris Ivory... 99 yards. Please, just one more! Also, my RBs seem to have a fumbling problem as of late.

Be in a smaller league.

Also, I'm upset Chris Johnson was on a bye last week. That way I could have kept DeAngelo Williams and still gotten DeAndre Hopkins.
I've never done smaller than a 10 man league, which I liked the best. There is some challenge, but not as stressful to manage.

I like my 8 team league. Plenty of talent, so one (or two or three) injuries don't ruin your season. It also allows for me to be more creative in my trades and have backup options. Like when I traded McCoy and M. Bennett away, I had Eifert as a backup plan for TE. And I had C. West as a FA when I traded D. Williams away.

I've come too close in 10 man leagues to winning championships to move down to 8 now. It just wouldn't feel the same. My hopes of winning a championship in 12 man though is pretty much:

Anyone else feel like they were watching a game between Santa's helpers? Also it drove me nuts the Jets green was more of a 1970's avocado green than wbat it should be. And don't get me started on the shiny helmets.

It did feel a lot like Christmas...those were both a one-off jersey last night, and supposedly the next Thursday night games will have the teams wearing some type of "color-rush" jersey.

It looked like they skinned a green screen and made it into uniforms.
