The talk about Dalton is way pre-mature...

Did you hear people calling him Andy Romo? heheh... so wrong... Romo doesn't get to the playoffs! ;)

People are too quick to judge.. he's only a 3 year guy.. a guy who had to start as a rookie because there was no one in front of him worth a damn. The game is more QB heavy than it's EVER been, and people are forgetting how QBs are developed in the NFL. Everyone wants a Colin/RGIII/Wilson story right away and it's just not practical.

Dalton has improved steadily, and their team has gotten better and better. They had moments of inconsistency this year, but that is common with any young team.

Yeah Dalton had mistakes in this game... but the failure was way deeper than he alone. 51 pass attempts!!! 51 pass attempts in a game they were within 10 points or less for most of the game.

On Lewis... I'm less committal. He's done a great job there, but one would certainly want to hear how he thinks they will get over the hump. The 3 losses in a row look bad... but in comparison to other teams and where they came from... they are worlds better now.

Fire to just reboot... is expensive... vs 'fire to get the guy I really want'

This 3-year guy who started as a rookie isn't buying that excuse.

What's your point? He's a three year starter that JUST MADE HIS FIRST PLAYOFF.. after two years of losing seasons.
Dalton's been to three playoff games and has had 3 winning seasons. Things Newton can't lay claim to..

The story remains the same... fans today expect every QB to be a rookie starter direct to the SB and HoF in a few years or we should cut him. That's just not realistic nor does it reflect what has lead to many great QBs. Brady, Young, Rogers, and others all had time to develop before they were put under the microscope.

It can take more than 2-3 years to develop a QB into a champion... something your Newton reference should make plainly obvious.

You're right again.

After your team is done for the year, you start thinking about next season and how much different the team will be. You wonder what players you will lose, what players you will gain, what you will do in the draft, and how the offseason will treat you in general. I'm ready for training camp again!

By September 30th, I knew exactly how you feel now.

Okay I promise, that's my last Falcons fan self-pity joke.

Being a Bengals fan I figured if we ever had a chance this would be the year. But being a fan I tried not to get my hopes up and they lived up to historical tendencies. As far as Andy Dalton I was yelling at my radio in the heat of the moment that they should get rid of him. Now that I have cooled off I just want him to be more consistent. He can make a 40 yard pass to hit his receiver in stride and on the next play throw a 5 yard pass into the dirt. That is what is frustrating. :arghh:

I hope to see some work on the offensive line, need a lock down corner and an Adamantium jaw for Kevin Huber.

On the bright side we knocked off the Ravens and the Steelers never got to dance.

Looking at the players heading into free agency, the Packers are going to have a very different looking team next season. Jermichael Finley, Sam Shields, James Jones, BJ Raji, Ryan Pickett, Andrew Quarless, Mike Neal, Evan Dietrich-Smith, Johnny Jolly, and Marshall Newhouse are all going to be unrestricted FAs if they don't get resigned. That's 8 starters right there, and there are a bunch of other backups who are going to be FAs, too.

For the sake of the ratings & interest in the games, I am glad (and am sure the NFL is too) that we are having Raven-less playoffs this year. Despite their tainted Super Bowl "win" last season among other reasons, you did us all a favor by knocking NFL's faux team out.

As far as the AFC goes, I really cannot see a clear shot winner. The Broncos have the best overall record, but are 1-3 against all remaining AFC teams. I would kinda like to see them goo all the way & prove the naysayers wrong about Peyton's usefulness during the big games.

Sean Payton had the Seahawk's logo painted on their practice field so they can recreate the situation they'll be in to the best of their ability.

Yeah... this is was 'faux' looks like...

After he got beat TWICE in prime time by your 'faux' labeled buddies.
LOL Kaepernick? I wasn't referring to him. He's actually a legitimate QB & the Niner's actually are a respectable team.

I was referring to NFL's faux team (as Terry Bradshaw kindly put it) a.k.a. the Baltimore Ravens.

I certainly didn't mean to come across slamming the 49er's. Even though I'm not a fan...at least they are a deserving championship team.

I was referring to the 'legitimate QB & team' that got beat TWICE on the national stage by the team you keep referring to as 'faux'. If they were so faux, how is it the 49ers couldn't get it done EITHER time? The ravens beat them on thanksgiving AND the super bowl.
