It's a tight one in pick em. I'm surprised I'm in the lead still. I thought for sure, this week I was going to drop out from the top spot.

Giants finally get a win. Stopping AP was huge, as it forced Freeman to pass more

When you have to throw 53 times in an offense you're not familiar with along with a new group of players to know, it's pretty much a defeat from the start. is it me or do I think the Vikings have the biggest revolving door of QBs in the NFC in recent years? I can't recall a time where they had a franchise QB since Tarkenton....

Looking at the Giants schedule, they could very easily win the next two games against the Eagles and Raiders, pushing them to 3-6. They then play Green Bay, and the Giants always seem to be conpetitive against the Packers even when the Packers were the better team so I'm not counting them out of that yet, especially since the Giants can get on a hot streak very easily. Being 4-6 may not sound good, but in this weak division it could put us right back into the mix. First, our offense has to get better though

The Giants win last night is in my opinion one of those wins where we didn't play good, but it felt good to have the win anyways. Manning threw for only 200 yards, but I will say the new RB's looked promising, and I was impressed with the defense only giving up 28 yards to AP, though I still feel horrible for what happened to his son. Truthfully, I'm just happy we finally got a win under our belt.

We better beat the Eagles and Raiders.

wishful thinking :) Eagles are a tough call especially with the QB situation... but I'll be picking the raiders.. and not because I think the raiders are great :)

Some people need to realize fantasy football is just a game. I know Adrian Peterson didn't do squat last week but I knew he was going through a rough time and I held no grudges against him. (Even if he had a monster game, I still would've lost. This week, I won but last week, I got blown out in fantasy.)

One Yahoo user put it best: "Some people take fantasy football WAY too serious. I play fantasy football because it gives you a reason to follow teams you might never follow otherwise. I know it can be frustrating at times because that competitive nature can take over in anything, but if I ever found myself wanting to threaten someone because of my fantasy team, I think that would be the time for me to take a real hard look at my priorities in life."

I don't get why people get mad at a player for getting injured and ruining their fantasy season, especially when they are out for the season. Do you really think that the player was intentionally trying to tear his ACL so he can ruin your season? Oh, he suffered an injury that could potentially limit his playing ability for the rest of his career? Let's be mad at him because he ruined a fantasy season.

I just don't get it.

Speaking of the Vikings, Ponder is starting because apparently, Josh Freeman got a concussion of some sort.

And you can add another name to the list of QBs for the Cleveland Browns since their return back in '99. That name? Jason Campbell.

Jermichael Finley, while reports at the beginning were optimistic, still has his future in question. He suffered a bruised spinal cord. He is definitely out this week. He is still seeking opinions from specialists, but Mike McCarthy says he is getting better each and every day. There are conflicting reports on whether he will require surgery. Finley is expected to be released from the hospital tomorrow (Thursday). McCarthy says that he has not sat down with GM Ted Thompson to talk about Finley's future with the Packers. Placing him on IR is an option. It is still to early to know whether this is a career-ending injury, though.

It's sad whenever a player suffers a potentially career-ending injury. Especially at Finley's young age. He was playing at the highest level of his career, too, just before he suffered this injury. Here's to hoping he can make a full recovery.

So reportedly the Rams contacted Brett Favre about a possible quarterback job, but he declined. Rams really are desperate at this point to go after a 44 year old who hasn't played in almost 4 years

Of course, he would turn it down. He'd get clobbered by San Francisco and Seattle twice. If this saga doesn't motivate Kellen Clemens against Seattle even more, I don't know what will.
