Shaun Phillips, linebacker for the Broncos, text conversation with his son. View attachment 45133
Oh crap *tears*

Seriously....seeing the emotions on the players faces is KILLER. Thats for ANY team. These men are so....."larger than life" and to see their hearts on their sleeves is kinda rough for the fans. Seeing Manning on the sidelines looking just...disgusted with himself, with the team.....ugh. Eli Manning too....you know he knows exactly what his brother was feeling. I mean, it was almost comical to see the absolute shock on his face!!

While I have absolutely no love for Pete "the cheat" Carroll, Iam happy Peyton choked yet again.

The Bronco's got punked, pure and simple, defense still wins championships.

Jimmy Thick- And fools will make Denver next years favorites, just watch...

Yeah, one of the better ones in what was really a weak field of commercials this year.

Worst game and worst commercials in recent memory??
I have to agree. It was starting to just be depressing by the third quarter. I'm sure if you were a Seahawk fan or enjoy snuff films it was the perfect game. I would have preferred the more even matched game I was promised.

I was helping my friend set up the food during ads in the first half so I missed a lot of those. Then I kind of started paying attention to other things during the 2nd half so I missed a lot of those also. I did like the Kia, Audi, and Maserati ads. Although I'm not sure how I feel about Chrysler/Fiat trying to turn Maserati into a more accessible brand. That Bud ad with the dog... just stop trying to make me cry Bud. The ad with Dylan was eye roll worthy.

Great halftime though.

I wasn't sure if the commercials sucked, or just my mood? HAHA The game started off horribly, so I couldn't even enjoy that first part at ALL.

I assumed the commercials totally sucked, but couldn't tell if that was just my mood....HAHAHA

Tom Hiddleston made my heart pitter patter....it was the only moment I forgot the travesty of a game. hahaha

snuff film.. snicker...

the ads just didn't have any real killers. Not that they were all bad... but SB worthy? Pretty weak field.

The Budlight guy gets taken places ad was decent..
As was the Audi compromise commercial. That was probably my favorite.

My favorite commercial was the Stephen Colbert Pistachio ones. The first part I thought was dumb, then the second part got me. The Audi commercial was good, too. Other than that, they were pretty bad for SB commercials.

Personally, I thought the dubbing on the Bob Dylan commercial was absolutely terrible, whom ever was responsible for that deserves to be canned right away.

Jimmy Thick- We will...Look at the mouthing, its horrible...

Looking back at the season now, I don't think any team from the AFC could have beaten the Seahawks or 49ers in the Super Bowl. And I just realized that somewhere after the start of the playoffs I completely switched my train of thought regarding the Broncos. I thought they weren't physical enough, but then I picked them to beat the Seahawks. I don't know where I changed my mind.

Tough question on the ESPN.com polls today: "What was the better part of Super Bowl XLVIII?" The options are The Game or The Commercials. Can I write in "The Halftime Performance"?

I think the Broncos could have - that was just the perfect storm of the Broncos being completely shocked and the seahawks getting lots of things going there way. when it rains.. it pours.

Payton was way off... I don't think their game plan on offense was right. Yes the pass rush was getting to Payton, but not without sufficient time to find the receivers. Payton was just all over the place.. and his team totally let him down in other places. On another sunday I don't think it would have been that kind of blowout. But when the moons align like that.. even the jaguars would have been unbeatable :)

Not that I don't give the seahawks credit... they were at the top of their game and were flawless in many ways. But compare that to the previous game and the mistakes they made there, etc. This was all about them firing on all cylinders and the broncos never even getting the engine turned over.

Sorry Payton... it WAS an embarrassment.
