I am devastated. Feels like the 80s all over again. So Elway must be having horrific flashbacks. Now I must go curl up in a hole for a week, lick my wounds, and curse the bad Broncos that showed up and Wilson for not going to play for the Rockies instead. Just horrific. Nothing else can be said.

So Denver has 5 SB losses (Bills and Vikings fans, you're no longer the laughingstock of the NFL in terms of Super Bowl losses), 4 of them occured when they wore orange. (I had a feeling those orange jerseys would be a curse.) And here's something interesting: Since 2005 when the Patriots won, the team that wore the white jersey in the Super Bowl has gone on to lose the game only once. (@PUSH's Packers are the only team to have won the Super Bowl wearing the dark color jerseys since 2005 and before 2005, from 2002-2004, the dark colored jersey team won each time and from 1999-2001, the team that wore the white jersey won the game.)

So I guess this means place your bets on the designated visiting team on the Super Bowl so that means bet your money that an AFC team will win next season by the looks of it unless Dallas happens to make it next season, which I hope not....

Doesn't the better team get to choose what color jersey they wear? I remember hearing during the Packers-Steelers Super Bowl that Pittsburgh chose to wear white jerseys.

And if that's the case and Dallas did make the Super Bowl, Dallas could be forced to wear blue jerseys.

I thought it was the designated home team. I remember the Steelers-Seahawks Super Bowl, Pittsburgh was the designated home team but they chose to white since their playoff run they wore the white jerseys in that game despite Seattle having the better record. The NFC will be the designated home team next year since they alternate conferences between home and away for the Super Bowl. I can't see Dallas ever wearing their blue jerseys next year if they are the NFC Champion and playing in next year's Super Bowl. Not in the Arizona heat even if the roof is closed.

Yeah, you're right. I got the better record mixed up with the "home team" thing. It would be fun to see Dallas forced to play in blue jerseys, though.

Well, the only time I can recall Dallas wearing blue in the Super Bowl was when the Colts beat them in the 5th Super Bowl. I remember as a kid, I borrowed from the library a VHS that showed every Super Bowl highlights from the first one to Doug Williams one and I vividly remember seeing Dallas in blue. And now with Seattle's win, 30-18 is the record for teams wearing the white jersey in the big game (Over 60%!)

I was thinking that the Packers were 4-0 in Green jerseys in the Super Bowl and 0-1 in white jerseys in the Super Bowl. When I went to check, it turns out they wore white jerseys in Super Bowl II along with Super Bowl XXXII, and are 1-1. They are 3-0 in green jerseys. I'm sure it means nothing, but it's kind of interesting nonetheless.

The Giants are 2-1 wearing blue (Won our first two. First against Denver and the other was the Scott Norwood game but lost against Baltimore back in 2001.) and 2-0 wearing white (Both against New England!)

Anyway, here's a video from ESPN's My Wish. For those who don't know, every summer, SportsCenter airs segments about kids suffering life threatening illnesses and with the help of Disney and Make-A-Wish, they make wishes come true for these deserving kids. Here was one last summer involving the Seahawks. I wrote on my Facebook page: "The 12th man is celebrating a Super Bowl tonight. But I'm positive this guy is cherishing Seattle's win the most."

Did you guys see the guy who interrupted Smith's (Super Bowl MVP, can't remember first name) media session?

Well, the season is officially over. :( I will admit that I like the offseason, too. The free agency, the draft, training camp, etc. In fact, I'll probably start a new thread for the offseason as it grows closer to free agency.

But it really doesn't feel like the season is over... such a drab end to the season.

Sure, the NFL is over. But there must be some gimmicky college all-star games still going on. Like North v.South, East v. West, players-from-teams-with-striped-mascots v. spotted mascots, players born in odd-numbered months v. players born in even-numbered months.
