Any ideas of what the next promotion or Special might be?? I usually look for the free dining promotion every year. What is the best promotion that they offer in your opinion?

We prefer a room discount since our dining habits don't match the provisions in the DDP.

I really wish I could convince DH to get APs. I would LOVE to be able to qualify for TiW...I mean, anything that can also give me a cake discount is golden in my book.

I'd love free dining if my sis and daughter join me because it's well worth it with 3 people. If I go solo I'd go for the room discount as it would be perfect. Free dining isn't really beneficial for 1 or 2 people in my book - room discount every time. That being said the discounts (room or otherwise) appear to be winding down percentage wise so if free dining is released I will be surprised....pleasantly surprised but surprised.

FD would save us more since we are booked at a Mod but if your in a deluxe room only saves you more.. Really praying to hear something soon either way..

If I remember correctly, the package they offered in January of this year by my calculations was actually better than the free dining offer, so I would not complain if they did that again. But, I'm expecting free dining. I know there's been speculation on these boards that there won't be free dining, but I think Disney would be risking a lot of cancellations (trips and restaurants) if they don't offer it.

We prefer room discounts too, since we try to stay deluxe when possible and can usually eat OOP for less than the DP cost. If we're doing a cheapo quick trip and staying at a value, we'd consider free dining since we now have 3 "adults" in our family. Free DP tends to be a better deal vs room discount the more adults you have and the cheaper your resort.

I saw the commercials for the "up to 30% off" resorts the last week or two. But that is only for travel through 8/14. I would much prefer the room deals to the meal deals for Sept/Oct as well.
I am curious about WDW doing deals for that time of year in the first place. I thought the summers were already crowded. So why are they offering room deals for the high season?

I know last summer we had a pretty good RO discount for our stay at GF in June...Obviously they are not filling the resorts.. The crowds are not only locals but ppl staying offsite!

Yeah, we booked this promo in 09'. It was great! Only $2,500 for DH, Me, 2 teens & of course our baby was free! We stayed at POP & had the QSDP. Our last trip in September was just DH, Me, & DD4 & we spent about $3,000. Of course we had a bunch of extras added on like free QSDP(stayed at AOA/POP) upgraded to TSDP, AIrfare, Photopass+, & MNSSHP!I miss the days of the buy a 4 day pkg. and get 3 days free..... that meant 2 trips in one year!
