I think if the movie had the same period style as the AC club (maybe even some of the same characters) and its more like POTC and not like HM
then it'll be a great flick.

My casting ideas:

Jungle Cruise Skipper:
Pierce Brosnan. Ever see the Matador? He can definitely pull off the funny half-crazy characters while still have that super hero james bond vibe. Imagine him in an old tyme explorer's costume...i think it' dbe fantastic

Its James Bond or at least should have been instead of the chair leg that was cast.

But I digress. Crap outdated ride so the film has is bound to be mince too.

I shant loose too much sleep if this dosent make it past pre production.

I would really like to see this take on the slapstick charm of the ride. I think this film has such huge potential, but I agree the approach is questionable off the little information available. I think something played overly straight-line couched in very silly/borderline-stupid packaging would be great.

I do agree the use of a fully separate story that pulls in some elements ala pirates would be key. But, I would love to see a Carol Burnette quality to the film, and I think it would be a refreshing change to the modern comedy.
