Screamscape has posted some supposed pictures of the DVC extension to the Contemporary Resort. Apparently they were on an architect firm's website, but were quickly removed after they were discovered:

The extension looks pretty massive, that is if it is not a hoax.
It even looks like the monorail will go through it, but I doubt it will make a stop at it.

My husband's company handles a portion of the piping for all Disney Resort (water/sewage and HVAC work).
When I heard about the rumors of a new resort on Disney property - I asked him to see if they were working on a job down there. He confirmed that there is a bid in place - so I would assume that those pictures are real and we should expect to see a new resort soon...
I'll let you know if I hear anything more from him as the job progresses.
On a side note - but kind of cool - my husband actually drew the water/sewage piping for Pop Century and a few other Disney resorts.

Buy a used 100 point DVC contract and you can add all those resorts as options as well with the price of a studio being the same as your moderate. You can get a BWV studio over July 4 week next year(Sunday to Friday) for 55 points(I know because I just reserved one). Combine that with your visits to the Moderates and now your up to 10 different resorts to choose from.

I was thinking about doing that. I just needs to get my money. I hopefully get it soon. How do you like the BWV? Sorry Im going off topic.
Now on Topic.
I would imagine that it would stop in there. I mean if its going to go through it it might as well stop. The Contemporary is going to looks contemporary instead of 1970. I love they way it looks I might get my DVC membership there when it opens.

The path of the monorail wont be changing, and you can see that in the render (even though the tracks are gray against gray). You are probably confusing the new Snake-like bridge joining the 4th floor Concourse to the 4th floor of the new tower with the monorail line.
It would be highly stupid to reroute the Monorail to the oposite side of the building, connect it in a line with so many curves, severly slow down the service by adding another station, and not add a entry on the other side of the building to let it get back out again.

I've been a DVC member for about 7 years and Have a very good relationship with one of there top sales associates she is a good friend of the family I was speaking with her the other day and she said that saratoga springs is still a year and a half away from selling out. And that they might be announcing another resort soon but they won't start construction til saratoga is 95% sold out. Which is still awhile from now. I can not say she is 100% telling me the truth but she has in the past always been correct with her inside info (beach club & saratoga springs). She said the possible 1 new resort is all that is planned

I have a friend within the company whose husband works in DVC "management" ... I don't know what that's worth. But when I asked her about the "monorail resort" and "AKL villas" she said "all I know is that there will be a lot of activity in the next few years" - take from it what you will, but I see this as a positive sign for both AKL villas and the proposed Contemporary villas (aka monorail resort).
