Hi everyone. I haven't been to WDW since I was a kid in the 70's. We're taking our 7 year old daughter soon. I know, it will be BUSY!

Here's my question. We're staying at the Hilton near DTD and renting a car (will be doing some things off-site after the first 3-4 days). We got PS for Cinderella's breakfast our first morning at 9:15. Will the bus from the Hilton take us to Magic Kingdom, and will that be the best option? Or should we drive and park somewhere? From reading the boards it sounds to me like we would have to drive to the TTC and take the monorail? Sounds easier to take the bus from the Hilton, but I need advice from all you veterans!

PS - the breakfast at Cindy's will be on our daughters birthday - she is so excited.

Great job on the Cinderella breakfast. it is amazing!!! make sure you bring all the cameras, vidoecameras etc to this one!! recharge all the batteries and stock up on film/ picture cards. In addition you may want to pick up your daughter an autograph book and a pen so she can collect all the characters autographs. In answer to your question, I am going to say drive to the TTC and take the monorail or ferry over. I dont believe that there is a bus directly to the Magic Kingdom from any non Disney resort. Make sure to have your Priority seating number and photo ID. The bus at the hotel you are staying at may go to the TTC as well. To be absolutely certain Id call and ask the hotel directly though. The private buses and limos will drop you off at the TTC. That's what they did for me on my last trip as I rushed from the airport to the christmas celebration. They pay to park and they go to the TTC and drop you off.

Many of the hotels around Disney offer bus service to the parks but they are as dependable as a $2 watch. Driving will be your best bet. You will want to get to the TTC about an hour before your PS time. This will allow you plenty of time to take either the monorail or ferry to MK go through security and make it to the restaurant. General rule of thumb for scheduling at WDW is 1 hour to go between parks or hotels. It will usually be less than that but if you plan for it you wont be rushing every were.

Yes...drive to the TTC...you'll save time and it will be more convenient for you, because you won't have to wait for the bus when you want to leave MK, you can just get in your car and leave.

I wonder though do DTD resort guest pay for parking?

I think all DTD Hotel buses drop off at TTC, they don't have direct service to MK...

So I think you'll be better off driving there...just my opinion though...

Disney resort busses drop off at MK. I don’t think that there is bus service from the parks to DTD anymore and non-Disney hotels (including DTD hotels) drop off at the TTC.

Thanks for the quick reply's everyone! Sounds like the best bet is drive to the TTC. I'm sure the consierge at the Hilton can give us directions to it.

Just another quick note, driving to the TTC would also be your best bet in case you decide to park-hop any of the days you're on vacation. WDW Transportation ( i.e. buses and in some cases the Monorail ) can take you from your park of origin and back again without you having to worry about private bus schedules. All you have to do is find your car in the parking lot (which is easier said than done sometimes). If you have any questions regarding WDW Transportation to and from the parks, the Guest Services located in the parks will be glad to help you out. Hope you guys have a great time.
