Hello Fellow Disney Lovers. The AK has a new tour called Wild Africa Trek. I was tempted to try it when I was their a few weeks ago, but was hesitant because I just had completed some physical therapy on my knee. I will be headed back to the World in July, plenty of time for my knee to get stronger. Has anyone ventured on this tour yet, and what is your feedback. I know one of the tour guides who use to be over at MK
giving the Keys To The Kingdom tour that is now over at AK working on this tour. They were fantastic and wanted to know if anyone had any tips about how to get the same person, if I go on this adventure. Please
write with any magical thoughts!!!!!!! I wonder if Master Yoda has tried it yet.:)

Petey - I went on the Trek last Saturday and I really liked it. You shouldn't have any issues with your knee at all. For the first hour or so you will be walking through the woods and there are a lot of uneven areas in which you will be walking/hiking as well as some uphill and down hill slopes. It's nothing really major so no real worries, you'll just need to prepare for that.

There were several CM's that were involved in getting the tour going, but the two main ones that I had for the whole Trek were Bethany from Columbus, OH and Erica from Gainesville, FL, and they were great. They knew a lot about the animals and were really nice too. If you have any other questions you can PM me but I would definitely plan on going, I really liked it anyway.

I called today hoping to book for my late August/early September trip, but they are apparently only currently booking into June. The CM suggested calling back every couple of weeks to find out if they've extended the offering.

Hope they do...

Hi there I Am pretty sure that Master Yoda has not been on this particular tour unless he didnt tell me!!! I have read several great reviews about it and from all of what I have seen and read, it is a winner and not to be missed. Definitely talk to your orthopedic doctor first and see if perhaps a knee brace would be a good idea just in case. I cant imagine this type of tour NOT being extended. Maybe on a future trip for me!!! Marie

What is the talk about this being extended? Does that mean it may be only
a tour for a limited time, or are we talking about the price of the tour. I am still considering taking the tour when I go if it's available in July. Someone
said they tried to book for their vacation in late August and that they were only booking till June. Does anyone know when they will be booking for July and what the cost may be then. Lastly one of the tour guides I know and had on the Keys To The Kingdom tour @ MK is now working over at this one. Any suggestions on how to get her as a guide again, as she was really terrific over at MK? If anyone has been on the tour lately and wants to give their
thoughts it is greatly appreciated.
