The new WDWMAGIC site is the biggest upgrade in our 12 year history. It's taken over a year of planning and development, and is the first step in a series of upgrades through 2009. Some of the main highlights of the new site are:

- New homepage - The new WDWMAGIC homepage is now a powerful information screen that YOU have control over. You can drag around the panels to position them in the order that you want. Say you want today's weather at the top of your screen instead of Latest Forum Posts, no problem - just drag the windows around by clicking in the blue title bar. Many of the panels also let you customize the contents. Take the 'Latest Forum Posts' panel - as standard it shows you the latest 5 forums posts for 'News and Rumors' and 'Resorts'. Let's say you would prefer to see the last 10 posts from the 'Trip Report' board and the 'Dining' board - just use the drop down to select the boards that you want, and use the + and - to adjust how many posts are shown. Once you are finished the site will automatically save all your customizations without you doing a thing. If you get a bit things mixed up, it's no problem, we built a reset to default to help you out. We have all kinds of new panels planned for the future, and once they are made available, like most things on the homepage, you can choose if you want it shown, and where you want it shown.
- Size - You may have noticed we had pretty much outgrown the old site. The site now has a dedicated page for almost everything Walt Disney World related. No more wading through one large page looking for specific information. The new expanded layout gives us much more space to keep adding content in the future, so look out for much more content being constantly added.
- Less separate sections, more content - Gone are the separate 'sites-within-sites'. You may have noticed there is no longer a 'Review' section to the site. That is because all of the reviews are now integrated into the content. So let's say you are looking for reviews about Soarin'. You dont need to go to a review section and search for Soarin', you just head to the main Soarin' page at www.wdwmagic.com/Attractions/Soarin.htm and right there, along with all the Soarin' news, photos and information, you will find the reviews.
- Friendly web addresses - No more tricky page addresses to remember or to share with friends. The new addresses are humanly readable and logical. Looking for dining - www.wdwmagic.com/dining.htm, or maybe Caribbean Beach - www.wdwmagic.com/Resorts/Disneys-Caribbean-Beach-Resort.htm
- Search - The new WDWMAGIC search system helps you find what you are looking for. In any search box, just enter the first few characters of the place or thing you are looking for, and the site will try to auto-complete it for you saving you typing the whole thing out.
- Speed - The new site is housed on an all new hosting platform using today's fastest computers. You should find everything to be quick.
- Future - The new 100% data driven site gives WDWMAGIC lots of capabilitiy to do exciting things in the future. We have lots of new features under development for 2009, so keep on coming back to see what we have in store for you.
