It will put some motel/hotel out of business in the area. Going to be some cheap buildings up for sale.

I just find it weird that both towers are almost parallel to each other.

And considering how close to each other they are, feels very cramped.
They could have done them more at an angle

meh close towers are ok if sound insulation amd such is done right. look at some of the swalphin wings.

Do realize it's a hotel for the $100 and under crowd. Universal is going for density. Room to wander is for the wealthy.

Disney's cheap hotel isn't tight.

Uni's new one feels super tight

Yes, there are some advantages to having purchased 43 square miles of land before you built your parks and resorts.

Part of it is with the Hotel land but it is unclear if they could expand into the lake as it is mostly man made but it's hazy if they could change it. Would take a hearing with swiftmud.

With all the lamd they have down South, I don't see them reclaiming the lake.

What news are you looking for? There really isn't a lot left to know. Endless Summer Surfside opens in August 2019. Starting rates are $74 (restrictions apply). Guests get Early Entry, Transportation, charging privileges, and resort wide package delivery. There will be a food court, 2 bars, and in room pizza delivery.

The one in the top pic looks like this as of Friday.
