Very cool! Can't wait to hear about what the new drop profiles and effects are. I don't know if I'm going to make it out for Summer Nightastic or not yet...so I hope they end up as permanent additions, in case I don't

The false ending (around the 2:24 mark):

:D

Is this the 5th drop sequence, or are there only 4 as Steve has elsewhere on this site?

Yeah, that's in one of the four drop sequences.

For the fifth drop, (I said it before, but it's worth repeating), I would really like to experience the full 13 story drop... :lookaroun:D
Well, you do get 12 and a half at the moment....

maximum possible drop height would be around 95ft. The shafts are 127 ft tall, including run off area and the area above the top horton.

Anyone else think its funny that in the permit 'Project Area' is classed as Disney MGM Studios?

Yeah, it's cool seeing the location names they use on a lot of the surveys attached to the permits.

While Disney's marketing people have changed the names of parks and attractions over the years, the survey department seems to have left the original names for everything. This is probably because they'd have to change hundreds of files and records and re-plat properties every time they "legally" change a name.

Off the top of my head, I've seen the following:

Epcot Center
Disney MGM Studios
Universe of Energy
Land of the Living Seas

....there are more, but I'm drawing a blank. It's sometimes a trip down memory lane when I see their drawings :)

There's one drop sequence I don't like...I think it's the one w/ the breaking window film during the drop? I don't remember, but I've had all of them multiple times, and there's one I just really don't like nearly as much....

Anyway, speaking of Disney-MGM studios...I was finishing paying off my upcoming trip (woohoo!) and at one point they gave me a list of park times, including the "park hours for Disney-MGM Studios on the day you arrive." For a moment I thought they had reverted the name...but it's probably just an non-updated part of the site.
