New Test Track Ride-through Video

For all those who are complaining about having to design your own car... is it even a mandatory part of the ride? Why can't you just think of the design-your-own-car room as just another part of the queue? I mean the whole designing process takes up what, no more than 5 minutes of your time while you're waiting to ride? Seems kind of silly that people think this part ruins the entire ride when it's not even PART of the ride, it's just part of the queue. People think it would become tedious after the first 2 or 3 times... but then, couldn't you say the same thing about the pre-show of any other attraction at WDW? ToT, RnRC, Dinosaur... they all have the same pre-show every time yet everyone still enjoys those attractions.

I don't see what the big deal is... if you don't like designing your own car, then don't do it and just wait patiently like you would in any other line on any other attraction.

I for one love the look of the new TT, love the futuristic look and definitely think it fits in better with the Future World theme than the original attraction did (although I loved that too)
If you don't want to design the car, then just skip it and walk through that part! Seriously, when I finished making mine, the CM was like: "Go through the door if you're done"

Is the "build a car" another version of the games you play in the queue for Space Mountain in essence something to keep you occupied during high volume times or to slow down the flow to the actual ride? Admittedly I did not watch the video:oops: and am going on the info in some of the previous posts. No matter what I cannot wait to ride it for myself.

Yes-
Single riders just walk through and ride. No id card, no configuration, just ride.

I rode it yesterday and the single riders do get ID cards, but there isn't really any designing of the car. You pretty much just choose one of the options (responsiveness, efficiency...) and then choose the body for your car.

Test Track 2.0 is a sad excuse for a ride refurbishment. Upon my first viewing of a complete ride-through, I noticed that Disney appeared to turn out the lights, add some neon and call it a day. The name test track is hardly applicable to the new editions. Disney detail is hardly apparent in this new version of the ride... I am very disappointed:confused: .

Have you ridden it yet?

I have not ridden it yet but friends have and they enjoyed it. The general consensus is positive. Here on the forum we tend to be critical of every little thing but the unknowing masses are giving it a thumbs up.
