Are there supposed to be just 2 Flame throwers? I can't tell in the concept art if there's 2 or more.

THANKS STEVE!!!!!!!! I wonder why the flame throwers aren't in the finale? That would end the show very nicely!

After watching steves new video, love the lasers, the fire, the lights, the projections, and some of the new pyro. Not liking the low pyro. It isnt as strong as it has been.

Im pretty sure that's the point. This new show allows them to have a fireworks show without having to close down half the park.

I understand the benefit of not having to close the park, but the low pyro was what made hollywood studios firework shows special. Symphony in the Stars had very creative use of fireworks off of GMR that made it better than anything a long distance firework launch pad could ever hope to do.

I agree that the low pyro in previous shows was amazing. But they couldn't continue to close half the park as fallout zone when so much is already closed as it is. Not to mention the old setup would have meant that Toy Story land and Star Wars would have been closed as well for the show. They knew the low pyro needed to change drastically so they gave us projection, lasers, fire and other special effects to compensate.

Hopefully after the SWL and TSL opens they can return the GMR low pyro. (I said hopefully)

Only GMR would have to close. TSL would be further off to the right. SWL would be in the back. Only thing being affected would be backstage areas and possibly the walk way to TSL.

That's true. Just a general note, it's TSL not TSPL. TSPL is for the versions of Toy Story Land in overseas parks.

Toy Story Mania would have to close just like it did for previous studios fireworks shows.

why? The entrance and exit would be off in TSL.

We don't know exactly where the entrance will be yet. The last plans I saw for the land had the entrance and exit on the north side of the building facing towards what is now one man's dream. This would still be in the fallout zone.

You're completely right, and that's entirely logical, but I only think with the emotional part of my brain that tells me to get a sixth plate at Boma's despite already dying inside. And that part of my brain is begging for more low pyro
. As an actual constructive criticism I must say that the lightsaber finale effect needs a MUCH stronger light to get the impression they're going for.
Mickey Avenue as it as the moment is a direct fall zone outside of OMD.
The new TSM area would be in am indirect fallout zone.

Assuming they return Pixar Place/Mickey Avenue to an area no longer accessible to guests that could potentially change some low level fireworks launch sites.

Just saw this with the new fire effects last night. Besides the obvious issues with Fireworks sight lines it may be becoming my second favorite night show after Illuminations.
