Shoot a few weeks ago after riding it for the 30 something time since the redo I finally got the Wookie planet for the first time.

This was the first trip I got all different experiences thought they were great! Ride is so much better when you see something different.

I always get the Wookie planet. :( I want the Vader opening, the Frozen Planet of Hoth middle and the underwater ending with the spacecraft breaking the windshield of our Starspeeder. Wonder if I can hack into the computer...... :cautious:

OMG, I think it's a genius way to create some buzz and excitement for both Star Tours and the upcoming movie -- I really hope this is true.

And, I do think it is very likely that this will happen. I was really surprised with the most recent upgrade, it really transformed the entire ride experience for me.

Ironically, the last scene I got to finally experience was the Stormtroopers in the beginning. I got Vader for I think the first 7 times I rode the new version and I was like "What the heck, there's only two options there! How can I keep getting the same one?"

It feels like some scenes must be more common, but other people have the opposite experiences, so that's random chance for you.

My understanding is that we are going to get our first real trailer for VII in front of avengers 2. if that's true the addition of new scenes may just be legit. However I would expect them to drop in may after the trailer. Seems like bad marketing to give stuff away (youtube) before fan boys like me spend our money to go see the avengers 2 for the star wars trailer.... yes I'm going at midnight for that... N yes I may have a problem lol

The idea something Ep VII would be added six months before the movie premiers is absolute fanboi nonsense.

It could be announced, but it certainly won't be actve until the movie is out.

On the other hand, there were two additional destinations that were created and programmed that have never been turned on. It would be great to see them activated, but I'm not holding my breath of it happening anytime soon. I was told they would go live at the end of 2014 and it never happened (for whatever reason).

This shows how brilliant the Star Tours redesign was. They can make a sequence for every little part of the universe. Star Wars rebels locations and characters can get thrown in, the side movies, the new movies. It's not that they will, but they can include whatever's popular. And this renews the ride for very cheap.

Tired of Star Tours? Seen the new movie? Kind of want to ride the new movie? Now you can! Star Tours is yet again a must-do.

Even so, I'm harping this idea that they'll replace TL with Star Wars land and they'll remove Star Wars from DHS. Just my gut tells me this is one plan they have.

And what this would mean for Star Tours is they could redo the queue a little bit (truck over the props and machines, etc, set them up in the Laugh floor).

It would be nice to have a prequel, original, and new trilogy queue. Get this, R2D2 tells you which one you have to go in. So you have to keep riding to randomly get in the queue you want. Each queue would feature sequences particular to each trilogy, and the props would be period-appropriate.

On the one hand, I can't imagine them redoing so much of a new ride. On the other hand, if they're building a new Star Wars area anywhere but DHS, redoing Star Tours this way would be a cheaper way of building a new-seeming E-ticket.

Only if you are the Rebel Spy.... you rebel scum you

It would be nice if they added an interactive queue where you could vote. It might not make a difference, but then at least you could try to bully your line-mates into picking something, or possibly just go with a large group and always win the vote.

I think the fun of the ride for some people, is the randomness that you can get. The "50 possibilities" potential gets some people interested, and makes people want to ride over and over again.

Im not sure if its just because gungans annoy me, because jar jar, I hate the Naboo sequence, except for the N-1 Starfighter breaking the glass, 3D part.

This may be inappropriate for this board, but I was looking into Star Tours and know that there was an old, non-electronic Arrivals/Departures board at the entrance of the original Disneyland version of the ride. Anybody know if that old sign survived the DL upgrade?
