New restaurant mask rule

I don't think it's being misconstrued in practice. People are reporting on this site and others that table service restaurants allow diners to take off their masks while at the table and ask them to put the masks back on when they leave. It seems pretty simple.

I'll be at WDW soon, and we have reservations at several table service restaurants. I'll ask them what's expected and report back.
There can always be a gap between what the policy is vs. what is actually being enforced vs. what they let go when someone disregards either. There can be a difference in practice between restaurants, or between CM’s at one restaurant. You can go tomorrow and have one experience and I may go the next day and have a different one. It could depend on how busy they are at the time, how well-ventilated the venue is, or how we treat the CM’s

Therefore, IMO, everyone who decides to go should be wiling to follow the printed policy to the letter.

I encourage all to show respect to CM’s by putting on your mask when placing your order or asking questions. You’re not the ones taking the risk, they are.

Honestly, there's nothing wrong with encouraging people to follow what you believe the rules should be. But Disney knows how CMs and people interact at restaurants, and it's up to them to set the rules and policies. If the policy to is to put on a mask whenever interacting with staff, that's exactly what we will do. That actually was the rule in my state at one point, but it isn't anymore. We are already fully vaccinated, and eligibility is opening up everywhere, so I suspect the CMs will be also by the time we get there. Hopefully, this will be behind us soon.

I expect that when we go to a restaurant and ask what the mask policy is, they will answer accurately - not based on how busy they are or how well-ventilated the venue is.

No predictions... just hoping for the day when Restaurant maître d', or front desk entry staff, requests CDC COVID19 cards? Got 'em? You don't HAVE to wear a mask (though you might want to). I really think that the first legit group that starts to sell "CDC COVID19 Card neck lanyards" is going to make a mint :).

Would STILL prefer a Nationally accepted phone app :(.

EDIT: News hit the wire today that the State of NY is pushing a "COVID PROOF APP". That marks TWO states - HI, and NY.
Dear Federal Govt... PLEASE get in front of this, before we have to load 50 separate "proof" apps on our cellphones? :(.
