New Resort Commercial

Has anyone else seen the new WDW TV commercial aimed at getting people to stay at the resorts so they can take advantage of Extra Magic Hour? My question is this: In the commercial the family is staying in what appears to be two rooms and the walls in each room are painted with huge murals of Disney Characters. Do any of the resorts really have rooms like that? I didn't think that any do, but I've only stayed in a handful of the resorts, so I was just wondering if they were real resort rooms or a set made specifically for the commercial. Anyone know?

Thanks!

that commercial has been driving me nuts too if you look out the window in the kids room you can see the castle. it looks like such a cool room.

Oh, man, I was thinking the same thing too! I assumed it was Pop Century, because they show some exterior shots of that at the end. But, I didn't think a value resort would be decorated so nicely in the interior. I checked the pictures on www.allearsnet.com, but I didn't see any resorts that had interior decoration like that. Maybe it was just a set. :(

So I'm not the only one wondering this!!

I think they showed ASMusic because the ad is touting the $55 per night rates.

As we all know, you cannot see the castle from ASMu.

Those murals are really snazzy. Could they be in the Contemporary Tower??

Looks like the commercial has caught the eye of alot of people. I don't know of any rooms decorated that wasy so I'm going to guess that its just a set.
(by the way I'm like the mom...sitting there all ready & excited to go to the parks. )

gonna have to keep an eye out for this one... hopefully Disneyjedi will capture it, so we can attempt to unravel the mystery... most likely a set though rather than a resort room...

If it does turn out to be a set, that's totally whack. Yeah, I said it. Whack. Disney doesn't need to create a false fantasy. Aren't they in the business of creating real fantasies? I'd rather see a shot of a Grand Floridian room with fine print informing viewers they won't ever get that for $55 than a room they'll never get. Ever. Or better yet, show a real Pop or All-Stars room. Sorry for ranting, but I despise false advertising.

What's strange is that I noticed it clearly said "Two Rooms Shown" at the fine print on the bottom. (I love fine print on commercials and always read it.) Why would you indicate two rooms if it wasn't even a room at all? Perhaps still legally to cover their butts that the size of the room you get for that price is not what is displayed? Dunno.

I've only caught it once so far so to be honest, I didn't really notice the mural things, but I'll have to look for it again.

My mom would jump at this deal, but its only for the next few months. Plus, she said she would wait for the 50th celebration.

Pretty good point there. They should have put at the fine print not actually a Disney resort room. It has to be a set, I have never heard of a room with murals.

I believe the set is actually a rendering of the new "20,000 Dreams Above the Sea of Dirt" hotel being built in fantasyland since there is not enough space to build a new attraction or land.

Hmmm. A porch? I don't remember seeing that. Maybe it's a DVC property. And maybe those pesky kids painted the mural while they were staying there. I mean, don't DVC members have to pay maintenance fees? Why not let the kids express their creativity on the wall!? You're annually paying for new paint and such.

LOL, no not a DVC room. I was wondering the same thing.

And yes, aren't we all like that family? Or the one where the mom and day can't sleep because they are too excited?
