In the overview rendering, why does it look like a giant midway game pavilion has been set up over "Casey's Pee 'N Splash" area?

Very strange.

You can see Casey Jr in the photo. I think you are confusing the roundhouse of the trainstation (Bathrooms) that are just behind it as being some sort of game pavilion. Everything in Circusland is how it exists now.

I did notice that there is an "island" of trees and plantings the looks to be seperating the pathway between where Pooh is and where the SDMT will be. If you look to the right of the end of the castle walls you will see what I am talking about. That is interesting as I thought that it would be just one big walkway there and that the rolling hills of the SDMT would be the seperator there. Interesting

There is a hidden mickey made of Lily Pads in the picture of Belle's cottage.

Also...since when did we have rolling hills and mountains in Florida as pictured in the background there... ;)

I saw those tree islands too, but looking closer I noticed the top pic isn't really done to scale... very pretty though

They may be there, but none of the buildings (Pooh included) are there, so it may just be a way to make it look nicer than showing the rooftops of the existing attractions.

These renderings are beautiful, but pure fantasy. They're more like a fine artist making a beautiful painting based on what will be there than actual architectural "renderings".

Nice mountains and hills in the background. It looks more like the landscape in California than Florida. Probably done by a painter in california who's never been to Florida.

I also noticed the trees they tested last year on the mountain in front of Beast's Castle aren't there in these renderings. I wonder if they've dropped them?

I was actually looking at that as well, as there was some speculation that they were installing them, based on some recent "pipes" in those spots in some construction photos. Either those pipes are for something else, or this rendering decided not to include them. It was one of the first things I looked for though.

There also used to be (in the previous renderings and/or models) a small, flag-topped "gate" structure at the entrance to Storybook Circus from the Enchanted Forest area (roughly between Dumbo and the blue tent). If this rendering is meant to include all of the elements that will be in the final version, it appears that this plan has also been dropped.

Oh my gosh! You're right! Seems odd they would go to so much trouble to build the castle walls and then drop the entrance gate to Storybook Circus!!!!

They have to be still planning on building that. It just doesn't make sense not to unless they were afraid it would stop people from going back there (which doesn't make any sense).

I noticed that too...and I think without it the transition from FL to Storybook Circus will be very jarring...guess it would make sense though since this area is already one of the most mismatched areas...with the Speedway and all. ;)

I agree with that. It seems like a little entrance there would be such an easy way to "set the stage" for the circus. Since it's the only official "mini-land" in FL, it seems like it needs a transition point.

In April, Imagineer Chris Beatty has previously said that the sign (he refers to it as the marquee) will be at the entrance to the Circus area, as you would see entering a circus set up on the edge of town. He said that they sign is not complete yet. I assume it is still in the works and will just be installed at a later date. Due to construction on SDMT, it might not be possible to put the sign in its proper place yet either.

Ariel is sitting in front of Prince Eric's Castle, do you think that will be where her M&G will be? It certainly is a beautiful backdrop for it.

One of the most important things that Tony Baxter ever taught me was to allow yourself to be in the magic. We know how things work, but you can focus on the clicking animatronic or get enveloped in the story. Your choice. These are drawings. So, the mountains don't look realistic for Florida, they do for Fantasyland.

Ariel's Grotto is built into the rockwork, on the Storybook Circus side of the attraction. If I am right, you can see around where the entrance to the M&G in the aerial views by looking for the rockwork that looks like seashells from overhead.
