Its amazing what a bit of gloss can do... guess they read the opinions about their first effort

Nice post. Interesting - this confirms (for now) the dark ride will exit and re enter the building...

Wow! Colour! Landscaping! I know it's only concept art, but that coaster looks a bit like:
http://www.rcdb.com/ig2410.htm?picture=17 at the end. (*Prays to Imagineering gods to have a Maurer Söhne Helix and Immelman in the ride*)

Quite true, Ogryn. We know it will be off the shelf, be mainly a dark ride, with interior special effects (possibly including water)

However, I think the gods at WDI are excluding any inversions ( I assume thats what a Maurer Söhne Helix is!) - Immelman is a loop, right?

Maybe next time... but its a (much needed) start.

Well it looks better than that first piece of concept art. I'm wondering about those "Cars" in the middle of the picture. Bumpercars? Also what happened to "A Bug's Land" ?

Maurer Sohne make spinning coasters :)

A Helix as a tight circle of track (and when mixed with true free motion spinning cars (not those crappy Primaeval Whirl waltzer style ones) makes an awsesome experience).

An Immelman is one of these:

...so no inversions, just awesome famliy-friendly elements.

Also check out the video of the two bits I mean here: http://www.inquisitivemonkey.co.uk/images/wdwmagic/dragon.wmv
Reverchon Spinning Coaster's are quite common now, (even Brighton Pier... I mean c'mon... BRIGHTON PIER!), so I'm really hoping Disney go for a better and less common make.

Thanks for the link! :)

To be fair, we shouldnt critisize that first rendering. We dont know if it was official, and even if it was, it was probably leaked internally and was never intended for public viewing and debate.

Well, it seemed like the first rendering was indeed official. Not only is the lay-out of this rendering reflected strongly in the new rendering...it was also used on an official flyer, given to (I believe) shareholders:

http://kyoto.free.fr/NEW.JPG (source kyoto.free.fr, but found on dlp.info forum)

By the way, I must warn you before clicking the link, since the concept art really destroys the rest of the (rather) nice lay-out

That looks great! Much better than the peice of crap the last concept art was. And I don't see a bug's land. I guess they won't put it in. Oh, darn

But it looks like that they really will do a good job with this.

AHHHA! Thanks for clearing that up. Immelman as in Alton Towers spinner - not been for a few years but videos look promising. Brighton Pier.... Jeeees! Nothing surprises me anymore but even WDSP can do better. Blackpool at least. :brick: NOT.

Seriously, the outdoor/indoor element looks promising (dare I even say inventive - for an off the shelf) plus the water elements and SFX sound like it could be good. Since its mainly indoors too and themed off the shelf hopefully won`t be too apparent (see:Primaeval Whirl) And if the spin is controlled to tie in with the ride this could be great!

Now all WDSP needs is a decent D ticket ride thru. Something high capacity for the whole family - a Pirates or PM style Omni or similar. The park is still seriously lacking in this area. Why Buzz didn`t come to the studios instead of closing a perfectly good attraction is beyond me... depreciaton and write offs aside. Apparently it cost around 9 million (euros I think) just to decommission Le Visionarium before demolition and then construction. Surely they could have built a shed at WDSP for the same ammount?
