New rain poncho for

a little one that is. Do they sell the rain ponchos in toddler sizes? or is it a one size fits all? Looked around and couldn't find any information on this. We will be going with our 2 year old and we have ponchos (yellow of course) and want to know if we'll be able to get her one? need a small small one so she won't trip all over it.

Any help is greatly appreciated as always!

There are two sizes. Adult and Child which would be like 3-10 I guess.

My daughter was 3 last year, probably about 34 or 35 inches tall. I bought her the smallest and it was a bit long, but it didn't drag the floor and she was still able to walk. Actually, it quit raining and she refused to take it off!

Yup, only 2 sizes. But if she's in a stroller, you can always just drape it over the top of the stroller to keep her dry. Even if it does hang on the ground, you can always try to tie it up a little.

I purchased a child size ponch , we had red for the kids and blue for us, then I cut the bottom off to suit her size! :wave:

I know this is not disney but I would try maybe walmart or kmart or a store like like that to see what they have or just tie the one for a toddler up so they won't trip over it.

They do (or did) sell the old fashioned yellow raincoats

Several years ago, we took our then 13mo old daughter and got caught in a bad rain storm at the MK entrance. Just inside the Fire Stataion, we bought three ponchos for ourselves and our son, but the child's size was way too big for our daughter. We found the yellow rain coat, with the metal clasps and the little yellow hat in a size that fit, bought it, and got adorable pictures.

She insisted on stomping in all of the puddles that had formed on main street, much to the consternation of my wife, who was holding her hand (I had my son by the hand). It's too bad that I didn't get a picutre of that, as that image is one of my favorite WDW memories of all time.

I also purchased mine at one of the aboved mentioned stores. In addition to that I also purchased a couple of the cheap clear ones in the camping area to use to cover the stroller and for emergency purposes. I put them in my back pack and forgot about them, they are very small packs and will even fit in a pack easily.
I needed them when we were caught in a summer storm at Blizzard Beach, we waited it out and the wee one sat in the stroller covered by the ponchos dry as bone and much happier!

As far as I know, the yellow ones aren't being sold anymore. I believe they're all clear with the different park logos. However, send me a PM and I'll see what I can do, as long as you don't mind "gently used." :lol:

Thanks for the offer but we are leaving early tomorrow so I won't have time unfortunately. I bought a few ones at the big blue today and I think it'll do the trick if I cut it a bit.

Ah....way to be prepared! Nothing like going to WDW and having a hurricane showing up everyweek, I feel really bad for those affected by each one. Have fun and I look forward to your trip report!

We did the same. Even the smalls aren't what you'd call small, but you can either tie it off or trim it to size before you leave. The kids have their "nicer" stuff we keep in the trailer when we go camping.

The ponchos are no longer yellow, according to both The Mom (WDW Magic user) and the www.touringplans.com website. I believe they're clear coloured now
