I was looking for a more specific answer ( you never mentioned the tube ) but you are right. You deserve the prize SO when I come up with it there will be 2. One for Martin and one for Scottie. Thanks to all of you who played!

Oh! i thought he meant that somone whose username was tigger already guessed it! Ya, it's Stitch in the Tube. the Stitch in there will move because it is a PUPPET. I made it out of felt, aluminum foil, paint, masking tape, foam core and a paper towel. There is a hole in the bottom of the platform the tube is on so my hand can go in there. it is( well, was ) so top secret not even my parents knew/know ( they still don't ) about it!
