Thus movie looks really really good. Disney definitly needs a blockbuster title to come out. so far it's not going up against any harry potter or starwars film, so lets hope this movie dose well.

Yeah, plus it's got Orlando Bloom, so it won't be too difficult for me to 'drag' my wife to the theatre.

I have to admit that I was kinda scared when I heard that they were doing a Pirates movie cause of the chances for them to blow it big time but everything that I've seen of the movie so far looks quite awesome! I can't wait to see it!

actually its not BRAND new per say this is the exact same commercial/preview Disney used when they did the whole every disney owned channel preview at one time. It still looks good

I can't wait to see this movie. It looks really good. Like the ride so I'm bound to like the movie.

That preview makes the movie look great! Whenever the pirates step into the moonlight, it's discovered they're really skeletons!!

I am not a Jerry Bruckheimer fan either but this is a movie that he can do NOT Pearl Harbor. This is a FUN slashing movie back the the days of Flynn......he he

This movie looks like so much fun that I wish I was not going May 10th to Disney but July 10th.....

Actually, it's seven, including "two words." Actually, the words "two words" were referring to themselves. It had nothing to do with the rest of the sentence. I'll shut up now.

If people like movies where things blow up with no plot or character development, I guess he's okay. But I can think of about twenty action films off the top of my head that are better than any of his recent stuff. So my hopes aren't high for PoTC.

I saw the trailer for POTC for the first time yesterday when I went with my kids to see Holes... the trailer looked really, really good! There were some younger kids in the theater that sounded scared at some parts during the trailer... maybe it won't be for younger kids? But, I can't wait to see it... of course Orlando Bloom is a bonus too!

I thought this film looked excellent when I watched the trailer yesterday, i'm a big fan of johnny depp and I thought he looked very good as one of the pirates!

So what if it's a jerry buck film, they may not be to the film critics liking but nearly all of his films do really well at the box office, so clearly there must be a lot of people out there who will like it. I am one of them :slurp:

Fair enough. Although I like good action films, I am not a fan of Bruckheimer's. However, I understand that lots of people are. For example, I've got a good friend who says he enjoys Bruckheimer's films because he goes to the theater to "see (stuff) blow up." I will give Bruckheimier credit - he is the master of explosions, crashes, etc.

I was think about that, too. The changes wouldn't have to be bad though. I think it would be cool if they added a few pirates who looked normal but as you were watching them turned to skeletons (or partial skeletons).
