I was just there last week- granted, I don’t stay at resorts in that area - BUT I feel that should have not used that tan color on the top floors- kept it more brown like the rest

I also don’t think it looks “tower-ee”, but again, we only saw it from the ferry heading back from MK. In comparison, GF is more intrusive at that sprawling bright white color in the sunlight.

Just my opinion. Our home resort is AKL, and if they built a tower there, I’d be the first comment against it !

Just give Disney a chance AKL will get a tower

Poly tower is only 4 stories higher than AKL. 6 v 10
4 stories of ugly and inappropriate building is jarring in an established themed resort. If it were the size of the other buildings or just 4 stories it would have blended better....also if they had actually used the existing resort as an inspiration for the style of the new building it might have helped....but what we get is a very commercial looking Gensler condo building with some graphics and fake wood here and there....which does nothing to disguise that it is a horrible fit for the resort... The plain pool and fiberglass cartoon character splash pad add to the disconnect from the style and feel of what has been Disney's most popular resort.

The white is much preferable to its previous pink.

I’m still blown away this thing opens in less than a month. I can see soooo many details continuing to be added after the grand opening. Just feels like there is a lot left to get completed.
Don't worry. There will only be ten rooms open. The rest will be 'shuttered' so that the resorts' percent-full figure looks good on quarterly reports!!!

These were taken 2 weeks ago, just to give everyone an idea of view.

From the monorail leaving the Contemporary.

On the Monorail to Grand Flo - you can't see the building until this point:

From the Monorail going in to Magic Kingdom. You can't see the building until this point coming from Grand Flo

Example, here is the view from the Monorail heading to MK (this is from a video, excuse the resolution)

Here you finally see the top:

Walking from the buses to MK, it becomes more visable as you get in front of the train station.

Few More - Ferry to WL

If I had to guess, this tower is visable in some way or another from these locations at the monorail:

Otherwise it's not very visable at the Poly or the Grand Flo unless you're in certain rooms.

You're doing it wrong. You're supposed to use a telephoto lens to exaggerate its looming presence.

Photos that replicate what one would see in real life are just so uneditorial.
