It doesn't.
Honestly, I haven't seen it so I can't really comment on it, but it does mean the Poly goes from about 900 feet between a hotel wing and GF wing and shrink it to like 450 feet (and it's even more dramatic if you include the wedding pavilion). I have no idea if it visually makes them look connected, but the distance apart is cut in half.

The only impact are the rooms facing the new tower. Outside those areas you can't even see the tower unless you try.

Not true... It is visible from many more areas other than the room facing towers. It also forever changes the skyline of Seven Seas Lagoon which again is visible from the entire resort area and Wedding Pavilion, MK entrance etc. It is not hidden and invisible.... Yes you can find areas within the Polynesian Resort where it is not visible... I can't see it from within the Grand Ceremonial Hall or the Kona Cafe....

Wailulu Bar & Grill has been added to the Walt Disney World website and My Disney Experience app.

Here's a direct link to the restaurant page: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/polynesian-resort/wailulu-bar-grill

Below is what is currently listed under the Dining Plan option:

You can see a lot of stuff from the MK entrance why is this a bad thing?

It's not literally invisible but it's quite hidden from most areas inside the resorts.

Not sure why we care when we can see a building from across the lagoon. We can see all the building everywhere.

The issue is mostly because it's relatively generic as opposed to something highly themed. The Contemporary gets away with it both because it's a unique structure and because it's been there since opening day, but otherwise Disney had generally focused on building themed hotels that were very different than what you might find in any number of random locations.

That's obviously no longer their focus between the Riviera and this, but it is disappointing. There's a big difference between seeing this building and seeing the Grand Floridian.

Theming is subjective, or course.

So is the choice to suggest it’s objective plainness is no big deal if you just don’t look in that direction.

So you agree with me. All opinions are valid, and people are free to love it, like it, not care, hate it, freely and whenever they want.

Not like it’s gonna change anything at this rate. It’s opening soon 😂
