I keep hoping that this tower gets theming more akin to what we see at Aulani. I think Disney will make it look nice regardless, but it will look incredibly out of place if they don't manage to align the look/feel to the buildings around it. It can be taller, but it still needs to share the look and feel, rather than be something completely different from the Grand or the Poly to either side.

Have you seen the art?

Fairly certain that when DVC rooms are available and are sold for cash, disney isn't really making money off of them. If a room is available that means a dvc member used their points outside of the dvc rooms (like a disney cruise or through the timeshare system), so the money for that room is given to dvc, which in turn is paying for the cruise or timeshare system. At least that's simplified way to say it.
There are 2 other ways they sell rooms for cash.

Disney own 2-3% of the points at every resort, so they can sell those for cash.

Also any rooms not booked by DVC members by 60 days out can be taken and sold by Disney. Pure profit for them. And they can anticipate this and take the rooms earlier.

These are about two weeks old from a different angle.

That's the Senses Spa building in the background. The concrete pad in the middle I believe is for the splash pad. The oblong piece looks staged for placement elsewhere?

The dining location still looks more substantial than a simple pool bar, it still looks to have both indoor and outdoor components.

The smaller windows on the second floor, it's unclear if they're accessible for guests or if the first floor ceiling stretches in these areas and they're more clestory style windows.

Here's the side closest to the rest of Polynesian. The second floor rooms here seem to have a different balcony style with a concrete lip that looks like it'll block some views in and out of the room. Can't tell if the balconies are same depth or deeper.

Behind the dirt mound we can see the opening into the first floor. It's a pretty big cutout and is guest facing.

It, the red area here, should be highly trafficed but is pretty devoid of plumbing so I've wished gym but could also see a community hall space, although it seems overly large for a community hall? It's only going to be accessible from outside. We'll see!

Not sure where else to put this, or but maybe it's already been reported?

"From February 13, 2023 through late spring 2023, the walkway between Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and Magic Kingdom park will be closed for refurbishment. During this time, monorail transportation and boat service will still be available for your enjoyment."
