You're right about the zoom. It won't be bad from a size perspective. My "loss" from the photo is what would otherwise be a gorgeous sky framing Tuvalu. It is tall, but the zoom in this photo is playing tricks.

Not actually true...He trashes everything that is done at WDW.
I think these are matching areas for reference. Someone can slap me if I'm way off.Is there anyone good with doing side by sides with the concept art and what is built so far?
Thank youI think these are matching areas for reference. Someone can slap me if I'm way off.

We know what it’s going to look like.So we have 2 slabs of concrete up and you're already trashing its theme? I understand your pessimism given WDC's recent track record, but can we at least wait until their is paint on the building before trashing it?
This is true. I was going by my own monorail ride. The scale is still pretty off IMHO. But that pic does exaggerate it.It is tall, but the zoom in this photo is playing tricks.
I wish they would have built it in the current parking lot with a breezeway/garden sorta thing connecting it to the GCH. Make the lobby in the new building. That could be the hub area and wouldn’t make the resort feel so lopsided. I guess similar to how Gran Destino was built. But what do I knowThis is true. I was going by my own monorail ride. But they can’t figure out a way for us to get to MK…Thank goodness. Was really surprised they allowed the former path to exist. Seemed like an accident waiting to happen.Safer, More Direct Walkway Opens Between Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and Grand Floridian During DVC Tower Construction

At least that's connected to work for which we have a much more calculable timeline. Just extrapolate out however long it took them to redo any of the other outbuildings. I would imagine it will re-open as soon as that's done. But they can’t figure out a way for us to get to MK…
I'm actually kind of surprised there are signs and asphalt. Pleasantly surprised. No more getting lost!Thank goodness. Was really surprised they allowed the former path to exist. Same! But quite glad they did this. I watched a near collision because a car wasn't slowing down for another car that was waiting for people in a cross walk. It was very unsafe before and glad this is more official. Might make me rethink where we stay next year.I'm actually kind of surprised there are signs and asphalt. Pleasantly surprised. Has it reached its peak height? How much taller then the GF DVC is it? I really wish they had build this in the current parking lot and connected it to the GCH. This just feels so lopsided on the resort.Latest photos
