I believe it’s mentioned in the article. On top of Luau Cove.Where would it in theory be built? Remove other buildings or expand the resort?

I actually think it’s very likely that it will look nice in high resolution. It lacks any depth or texture in this 600 pixel rendering.
uh-ohhh Here we go with another Marriott-style common hotel building in a themed resort... Boo!
Just like they did with the Floridian Villas, expect they’ll add fill and expand into the SSL.I presume something like

Better start now if they want this done in 2 years!Just like they did with the Floridian Villas, expect they’ll add fill and expand into the SSL.
It's not really about whether it looks nice or not, though. It's the overall style.
So far I don't think it looks that common. I understand that argument with the structure of Gran Destino or Riviera, but this seems to have more character?
Will the Disney Railroad be running by then lol.Better start now if they want this done in 2 years!
Tikiman was showing pictures with utility markouts already done.Better start now if they want this done in 2 years!
And the over style looks very nice.
So taking away an attraction(the dinner show) and putting in more rooms.I believe it’s mentioned in the article. On top of Luau Cove.
I hate it when they add barely-themed towers to their best-themed resorts. This just looks awful to me. And getting rid of the signature show at Polynesian for this? It's so typical of Disney these days [sigh].I definitely think it has more character than the Riviera, but it also looks like it will stand out (and not in a good way) compared to the rest of the resort. It looks more like current upscale hotel design than something really connected to the rest of the resort's aesthetic.
It looks like a nice modern resort...there is nothing in that design that says "Polynesian"...there is nothing that looks evocative of the South Pacific... And yeah, it looks like Reflections...Probably the same architectural firm.So far I don't think it looks that common. I understand that argument with the structure of Gran Destino or Riviera, but this seems to have more character. If you zoom in, there's an open space with vines or trees?
Sure, if you put it in the middle of a city or a beachside resort that isn't supposed to be themed.
It reminds me of the concept art for the cancelled Reflections.
