You're forgetting the automatic 20% gratuity that they put on all to-go orders as well.I am sure they would use SPAM... lol and not make artisanal bespoke Ham-based product...they will leave that to Gwendolyn Rogers at the Cake Bake Shop for her "Spam" (e) and Egg Croissant(e) $34.95
You're kidding, right? You're forgetting the automatic 20% gratuity that they put on all to-go orders as well.
Before a new luxury Fairfield Suites was built, the tarmac lightning was limited within casual sightings. Now, they are rather prominent when enjoying.the lakefront vistas.I think the point is that no-one was complaining about them before. They have nothing to do with the topic of the thread.
I honestly have no idea what any of this means. You’re claiming that the presence of the new tower—at some distance from the hotel’s main pool—has somehow made the lights that have long existed around that pool more prominent? If that is indeed your claim, could you please explain the logic behind it?Before a new luxury Fairfield Suites was built, the tarmac lightning was limited within casual sightings. The new tower had zero effect on these lights. Before a new luxury Fairfield Suites was built, the tarmac lightning was limited within casual sightings. Now, they are rather prominent when enjoying.the lakefront vistas.
Almost every resort pool has these exact same lights. With only a couple being a little more themed. They’ve been used for decades and nobody has complained until now.For context, the Grand Floridian has the same lights, just painted white instead of dark brown:
Does the new tower make these look worse too?
If anything, those who claim that the new tower is a distracting and intrusive eyesore when spotted from the main resort should be arguing the opposite—that it draws attention away from the lights! The new tower had zero effect on these lights.
Yes, but what effect will it have on the tower lights over at the main pool?Tikiman’s Unofficial has a video from inside the lobby area. It’s gorgeous.

On a more serious note, it’s a bit beige for my liking, but it doesn’t look at all bad.

Staying at a Fairfield Inn out in southwestern NY later this week. Will report back as some here insist on comparing the two. It’s quite pretty!
I understand the beige is probably not to everyone’s tastes… but I absolutely do not abide that this lobby looks like a cheap Inn or midrange Marriott. Only a very nice Westin (in Hawaii) would really make sense to me.
It also goes to show Rivieria really just needed an extra floor to its lobby.
I like the cut outs even more since they seem to have all the colour.

It looks luxe in that rather sterile, monochromatic way that one can find in many hotels these days. I tend to prefer something a bit warmer, more varied, and more whimsical. It looks super lux and tasteful to me. I mean, too expensive still, but it at least looks like it matches the price a bit more to me with that lobby.

I’m a lifetime platinum with Marriott. So I know it’s splitting hairs, but I’m annoyed with the inaccurate comparators. There are actual hotel brands that are somewhat similar and examples of urban condos, if we must have something to point to.
But definitely not Marriott and definitely not Fairfield.
It also looks much more Polynesian these days… but not Disney Poly. More a millennial designer Polynesian condo.
Yes, to be honest, it looks a lot nicer than I thought it would. I also do find it a little too monochromatic and sterile for my tastes, though. It looks luxe in that rather sterile, monochromatic way that one can find in many hotels these days.
