New park maps? Wesbite? When?

The Laugh Floor and Grand Fiesta Tour are scheduled to open the first week of April.

When do you suppose we'll get new park maps for MK and Epcot - if at all?

They seemingly went to great expense to finally get Epcot foreign language maps with Nemo on the cover, do you suppose they'll really want to change out the maps at Epcot so soon? But El Rio is changing names... do you really think they'd have outdated maps once it opens?

And what about a website update? Laugh Floor exists on the MK website, but what about Grand Fiesta on the Epcot website?

Speculation...?

Are the maps pre-printed months ahead of time or are they printed daily or weekly ?


If they aren't pre-printed too far in advance, it seems to me that it would be fairly easy to update.

I imagine we would see new maps before an update to the site.... Remember, Disney's website people aren't always on the ball... LOL...

I just got my custom maps from the website and there is no update for Grand Fiesta Tour on them, but the Laugh Floor is on them. Go figure that!:shrug: But I don't care if they are on my maps, I know where they are and I am going to them first thing! Only 46 days until I arrive!:sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

I'd assume that the maps will reflect the new attractions within a week or two. IIRC, it took about that long for Nemo to show up on the Epcot maps.

Yeah my custom maps had the MILF :lol: on them when i got them awhile ago... it just said 'coming soon' on it.

I might take a short while before Gran Fiesta Tour starts appearing in the maps, since really nothing is changed in the map, except for the name and description of the ride. So maybe Disney might not be in such a rush for that, but maybe we'll see the Monster's Inc. maps shortly.

On a side note, do you guys think the cover of the Magic Kingdom map will be changed to Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor, or will they keep the Jack Sparrow cover, and just add Monster's on the inside? :shrug:

I think Monsters Inc. will make the cover and be on the maps it's opening day (the official day that is).

I think Fiesta will be inside updated only (I'd be surprised if it gets on the cover, but ...)

My wife and I visited every week for 58 straight weeks and collected maps each time and they were pretty much on the ball each time something new came out. The collections still not complete though as sometimes the times guides didn't cove a whole week.

We also know a guy who freelances graphics work and has turned around special maps (like MNSSHP, but not the standard ones) and things for them on a 'need it yesterday' basis, so they are pretty quick about updating maps.

Gran Fiesta is on the website now - but as of my last check it still had El Rio information, just the name changed, and th Mexico pavilion page description still called it El Rio.

I wouldn't be too surprised. The High School Musical Pep Rally is currently the cover of the MGM maps...
