They were scanning the bands and/or your card as of 2 weeks ago. Scanning the bands makes a lot of sense especially if your group is split up for any reason. Probably the biggest benefit I see is the unlimited downloads. Allowing just 1 download was a bit restrictive especially if you wanted to go back after the fact and add additional borders and things.

As long as the price is the same or less this is a positive enhancement to the system.

We were there first week of Nov and for PP+ you had to use the card so using band only is better one less thing to remember. Also if your whole party can get their bands linked to Memory Maker you don't have to play pass the PP+ card to get all your ride and CM pictures.

I would bring a few disposable cameras just in case...just don't put them in your carry-on bag, the x-Ray might expose the film.
