New Moderate Resorts In The Pipeline?

Various sites are reporting folks receiving survey emails from Disney asking for feedback on three new themed resorts: A Royal (Princess) themed resort, a Haunted Mansion themed resort, and a Pirates of the Caribbean themed resort.

I'm unsure if these are actually for full resorts, an eclectic mashup in a single new resort, or themed overlays to existing resorts. They claim the emails included renderings but I haven't seen them.

Any other info bouncing around about this?

I don't think these email surveys mean anything.. I just got one today from Universal Studios asking if I'd like to see theme park attractions based on Glee, Lord of the Rings, Hannah Montana... And if Universal were to build a Hannah Montana attraction or an entire theme park, would I go to it...

I don't really see these themes fitting in with the rest of the mod or deluxe resorts, only the values. All of the mod and deluxe resorts are based on place and time.

There's room for another village at Caribbean Beach, and I thought that was having its rooms converted to a PotC theme.

They currently have Pirate themed rooms and Princess themed rooms at the Caribbean resort, for a higher rate. From reports, these rooms have been very successful and have Disney looking to expand the idea. I'm sure a Haunted Mansion themed rooms/resort would do extremely well.

The questions is, what resorts would they look to change? For the money involved in making this upgrade, I doubt the values would get this treatment(unfortunately). Taking one large Moderate(like the Caribbean) and changing groups of buildings to the themes mentioned would make the most sense to start with.

So long as they don't take value sized rooms and start calling them moderate for the theming.

Oh, didn't they already do that for all of CBR?:ROFLOL:

So it appears that the rooms will be re-themed. Not necessarily a new resort. I think it looks great. I guess the rooms will be more expensive like the re-themed ones at CB.

UNIVERSAL is interested in building an attraction or theme park around a Disney show (Hannah Montana)? Am I reading that right?

At CBR , some rooms are Pirate themed( heavy theming) and others are Nemo themed ( not heavily themed). We stayed in one of the Nemo rooms last Sept. Basicly they put up a Nemo wallpaper boarder and Nemo comforter. Nice and not over the top. I don't know anything about any princess rooms .

The survery asked the following:

1) If Hannah Montana was visible in a theme park
2) If Universal were to build an attraction based on Hannah Montana, would I be likely or not very likely to visit
3) If Universal was to build a section based on Hannah Montana, where would the best place be for it.. and no, the local garbage dump was not an option!!!
4) If any theme park were to build somethng Hannah Montana themed, which park would it best fit in...

They also asked about Glee, Lord of the Rings, E.T., and several others... One or two other Disney properties as well...
