Will Mission Space be more like Universe of Energy (one main attraction) or the Body (multiple things to do) or do we know yet?

Its primarily a single main ride, with some kind of pre and post show. There is still very little information being released about the contents, but something along the lines of Test Tracks pre and post shows seems likely.

I have a question for everyone...

Does anyone remember if the hype for Test Track was as HUGE as the hype for M:S???

I must admit...I love Test Track (not as classic Disney as World of Motion) but it is DEFINITELY a FUN attraction...could be a little longer in the fast section though.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED HORIZONS though...but, I LOVE THRILLS...

It is looking really nice I agree. After the recent trend in just having warehousetype buildings, its really nice to see a new attraction having such a complex and imaginitive exterior look. :)

The hype for Test Track was nothing like the Mission Space hype, at least from what I can remember of that time. Although now that we live in the Internet age, and information flows far more freely, its difficult to compare an attraction opening in the 90s to the 2000s.

I can't WAIT to see the lighting affects on it! For some reason I feel "red" lights and a low "rumbling" sound...(like the burners of a rocket) emitting from those "elongated" holes in the building.

Beautiful lighting affects on the ball is almost guaranteed!

The rain will roll off right back onto them!

i wouldn't expecet that to be a problem. i'd be surprised if that issue hasn't already been addressed and taken care of (my guess would be just some simple rain gutter system in the roof, out of view.

but what do i know?

Actually, I work for a glass company that does curtainwalls, exterior panels, and skylights and I have to say that you can hide gutters VERY easily...and who knows...maybe the "rain water" will be used in SOME OTHER WAY :) (kinda like SpaceShip Earth's gutter system...if you didn't know, NO RAIN falls off of the ball, it is collected within the internal gutter system and drained into World Showcase Lagoon.

(Actually, we deal with the same aluminum panels that the big golf ball is made out of...(and 90% of the parapets and copings in Future World)

It's getting real exciting... what's so bad is that my next trip is Nov. The building will propably look complete, but I will just have to stand there with my Jaw Open, I won't be back to Disney for at least another 2 - 3 years after that, bummer! The same thing happened with Test Track. I was there about a month before the soft opening, it was awful to see the ride and not be able to ride. At least you can't see the ride when you look at the Space building.

At least in 2 - 3 years there should be a lot of new things to look forward to. Philharmagic, Mission Space, maybe a new land at AK, and who knows what else. This trip I only have Aladdin, Dino-rama, and Who wants to be a Millionaire, not quite as exciting as what's coming, but I will still be happy to visit them. Oh, I forgot about the new JII, that I'm excited about.:sohappy:

I belive this Attraction will be great! I'm not sure if TOT (or any disney attraction) had this much hype and it's own Offical Web Site. They better deliver!

Where is the official website for Mission Space?

Sorry for such a simple question but do you think Mission Space will be just another ride simulator, like you find in places like Disney Quest? Thats almost what is look like from the rumored pictures at The Ride Works. I don't much about it so any info would be appreciated!

No. It will be a one of a kind attraction.
