Can barely tell the difference... Especially without having pics of new/old right next to each other. Was happy with the old ones and will be just as happy with the new ones! I dig the talking Mickey, but it's kind of creepy at the same time.

Here's a quick comparison
Here's a comparison

The most notable would have to be there pupils, mouth shape, and Minnie no longer wearing eyeliner and lipstick.

I think I like the faces on the older ones better and the costumes on the newer ones. But ultimately, I don't care.

You left out the best news--no more 60th costumes!!! My rebel spies tell me they were a maintenance nightmare for costuming. Daisy's belt and Goofy's coat lining versus pants were especially bad. They were basically stage show costumes being used for meet and greet.

The real story behind the new Mickey/Minnie heads is that they are much lighter, but also more delicate. They have to be handled with two hands at all times, stored upright on vertical supports, not sideways, and are much more difficult to transport across the parks by the performers.

Appreciate your inside insight as always! Those two tidbits are very, very interesting. I didn't know the 60th costumes were such a hassle; honestly, I liked the blue and silver ones from the key art instead of the final blue-and-red costumes but that's just me.

I actually wished they wore the blue and silvers ones.

They went with a different look for the park costumes because the merch art was so similar to the Year of a Million Dreams costumes. Another instance of that famous Disney communication!
