im a bit surprised they are allowed to have each area dead end so much for people control and fire safety reasons
Since there is nothing else to see after those, I don't think that it is a problem considering the few numbers of people that will be there. The street that leads to ToT and RcRC is pretty much a dead end as well, isn't it?

technically yea, but its wider than the road by toy story
If there was every a fire so serious that they need to evacuate people from a whole section of the park they would open access to back stage.
i know, but we all saw what happened at lion king when there was a panic and everyone started pushing and shoving

they werent exactly waiting around for instructions nor remaining calm and thinking logically

Don't really understand why Animation Courtyard kept it's name considering Animation is clearly not the theme anymore.

All I can figure, is just like with Disney Springs, they don't want to tip their hand towards any hint of things to come. They'll just keep demolishing things, start building things, and when the dust cloud is thick enough, they'll put some coming soon signs. When the dust settles and a few things are starting to open/re-open, then the branding army will come through with signage and map changes.

This is tremendously depressing. The fact that over half of Hollywood Studios is being destroyed is already sad enough, but the idea that Toy Story Land and Star Wars Land is going to be replacing it makes me even more upset.

I know I'm the minority, but I'm not looking forward to the future of the Studios. :(

Me neither. No (actual) Animation Courtyard, no One Man's Dream...and if the Tower goes, DHS is dead to me.

And if it does go...what's going to save Hollywood Boulevard? Or the Great Movie Ride? The whole park will be devoted to Iger and Eisner's acquisitions. Yes, Twilight Zone isn't a Disney creation, but who cares, it's the ride itself, its atmospherics, its lavish theming, its masterful storytelling, its amazing effects, that makes it perfection. It has all the hallmarks of the best of Disney Imagineering. A company willing to destroy something like that isn't a company I can patronize anymore. When I read about the GOTG remake, it felt like something in me started to die. Maybe I've just been in denial for too long. The Walt Disney Company isn't Walt's company anymore. There's nothing left of him in it. It's just a brand factory run by coldhearted thickheaded moneygrubbers. It makes me very sad. It's even gotten painful for me to visit here now, because none of the news about the parks seems at all positive anymore. It's just cutbacks and cheap cash grabs and horrific price increases and good things being destroyed. How could things get so bad?

I am definitely looking forward to SW & TS, but I am very upset about the many loss the park has suffered. I know it's such a small section of the park, but I'm really going to miss the Honey I Shrunk the Kids section. So many memories of that section from when I was a kid. Really sad to see it go. Also I know its been a while, but I did love the backlot tour. It's definitley a sad time, but I look forward to being able to create new memories there.

Anyone care to speculate as to how long the "demo session" will take them? Will all of this be wiped off the face of the earth in a month? Two months?
