Didn’t the Dans each have their own unique color before? I like the blue but kinda loved the differ colors. I could be wrong!
They did, and the colors corresponded to the part. At least that’s how it is at Disneyland. So if Tyler is singing lead he’s wearing purple, but if he’s singing tenor he’s wearing yellow.

Of course at Disneyland they have holiday costumes that match like for Halloween and Christmas so it’s not always like that.

They look good but I’m sure someone will be offended and spew some unnecessary hyperbole.
The unveiling of these new costumes at the Magic Kingdom plunged the most magical place on Earth into a dystopian nightmare! Gone are the whimsical colors and enchanting designs that once adorned the cheerful cast, replaced instead by a soul-crushing sea of monochrome monotony. Imagine, if you will, a bleak landscape where Mickey Mouse ears are replaced with drab caps, and the vibrant hues of beloved characters are stripped away in favor of uniformity. The once-magical atmosphere now feels like a corporate dystopia straight out of a science fiction nightmare, as if the enchantment has been drained from every corner of the park. Guests are left bewildered and disheartened, longing for the days when every encounter with a Disney cast member was a delightful journey into the realm of fantasy. Alas, the magic has been extinguished, replaced by a grim uniformity that haunts the very soul of the Magic Kingdom. Truly, it's a dark day for Disney enthusiasts everywhere!

If the cast members are happy and more comfortable that's all I care about.
It’s not like comfortable fabric only comes in a handful of colors though, I like the look of most of the new costumes but things like eliminating the individual Dapper Dans colors makes no sense, that’s not a comfort decision, it’s a design choice, or more likely an accounting choice since it’ll reduce the need for a few costumes and save a couple bucks.

This pixie duster is proclaiming the new Dapper Dans outfits to be atrocious. That color blend should be tried at the Hague.

All the other Main Street costumes are fine. Not stellar. But not bad.

If its purely an accounting choice, aka cost savings, that's disappointing but not surprising.
With the dapper dans it could actually be a design choice - I’ve seen them with matching holiday outfits for patriotic holidays and Halloween and they do look really nice when they match.

It does appear that the new CM costumes are a bit more basic, not sure how much is saved but I’m guessing it’s something.

The light blue and burgundy seems to be more for the street attendants.

The CMs in shops will be more old-timey-fied...

I wonder if the untucked shirt (i hate to shame anyone) was just a candid shot and not in their rule books of allowed. If so, I do not like the untucked look.

On a related note: In Orlando, an untucked, loose, short-sleeved button up dress shirt is vastly superior to a T-shirt or a tucked-in dress shirt. Why men wear black and dark blue (and jeans!) in the Summer is beyond me.
